    "Don't fuck people over."

    on a serious note.

"One may love a river as soon as one sets eyes
upon it; it may have certain features that fit instantly
with one's concepiton of beauty, or it may
recall the qualities of some other river, well known
and deeply loved. One may feel in the same way an
instant affinity for a man or a woman and know
that here is pleasure and warmth and the foundation
of deep friendship. In either case the full riches
of the discovery are not immediately released -
they cannot be; only knowledge and close experience
can release them. Rivers, I suppose, are not
at all like human beings, but it is still possible to
make apt comparisons, and this is one: understanding,
whether instinctive and immediate or developing
naturally through time or grown by conscious
effort, is a necessary preliminary to love. Understanding
of another human being can never be
complete, but as it grows toward completeness, it
    becomes love almost inevitably."

I never had a motto before, but this year I adopted "I'm gonna make the rest of my life, the best of my life"
I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it.

I recently watched "Bachelorette." I was so taken aback when one girl says to the other "Fuck everyone." That's my motto. It doesn't mean be a bitch to everyone. I have low self-esteem but I work a job where I have to interact with powerful people. "Fuck everyone" means if they are an ass, look at you weird, make you feel awkward; FUCK THEM. If someone's cool, then treat them accordingly. If they are an ass, fuck them.

Thank you for that, I think I'll adopt it (with attribution) and put it in my signature.

“James Dean was the damaged but beautiful soul of our time.”
    ― Andy Warhol

“Actually, I jade very quickly. Once is usually enough. Either once only, or every day. If you do something once it’s exciting, and if you do it every day it’s exciting. But if you do it, say, twice or just almost every day, it’s not good any more.”
    ― Andy Warhol

“People's fantasies are what give them problems. If you didn't have fantasies you wouldn't have problems because you'd just take whatever was there.”

― Andy Warhol, The Philosophy of Andy Warhol

“I just do art because I’m ugly and there’s nothing else for me to do.”
    ― Andy Warhol

“I never understood why when you died, you didn't just vanish, everything should just keep going on the way it was only you just wouldn't be there. I always thought I'd like my own tombstone to be blank. No epitaph, and no name. Well, actually, I'd like it to say 'figment'.”
    ― Andy Warhol

“Dying is the most embarrassing thing that can ever happen to you, because someone’s got to take care of all your details.”
    ― Andy Warhol

“The girls in California were probably prettier in a standard sense than the New York girls--blonder and in better health, I guess; but I still preferred the way the girls in New York looked--stranger and more neurotic (a girl always looked more beautiful and fragile when she was about to have a nervous breakdown).”
― Andy Warhol, POPism: The Warhol Sixties

“Sometimes people let the same problem make them miserable for years when they could just say, "So what."
"My mother didn't love me." So what.
"My husband won't ball me. So what.
"I'm a success but I'm still alone." So what.
I don't know how I made it through all the years before I learned how to do that trick. It took a long time for me to learn it, but once you do, you never forget.”

^For some reason I am enraged over Warhol's improper grammar assuming you quoted him correctly. Fantasy is a noun. It's adjective form is fantastical.

The quote should grammatically read: "Fantastical love is much better than realistic love."

If it wasn't for Warhol's pseudo-intellect heavily fueled by drugs, most of these quotes would be about him ironically.
