From the article:
"The company says the move [to make adult image porn searches harder] is designed to ensure adult content is shown only to those who explicitly request it."

The article goes on to say that you can still find it but you have to search harder and use certain key words. I've tried various searches and it sucks!!! I hate it now!!!!

This is frustrating. Where is a good alternative? Yahoo mostly sucks. Ask doesn't bring back very good image search results.

I hear Bing is good. Is that the only place now? I've really never used Bing

The problem is that it's so restrictive now that what you KNOW is out there from like say a previous search, doesn't show up no matter how specific you get.

I'm gonna have to agree with this. If I'm looking for porn I'll go to a porn site. If I'm searching google I'm probably looking for something else. Inevitably a naked woman will show up, and nobody wants to see that....

Do your google image search as you normally would...
If you don't see porn images, go to the address bar on your browser, and at the very end of the URL, add: &safe=off

b) If porn still shows up, Google gives you the possibility to report that image.

Yeah, I tested a few different searches that used to bring up a lot of stuff. I tried "trystan bull fucks" and nothing but two images. That article written in the link above (my first post of this thread) states that Google's statement says you can still find images but you have to be specific. Okay. "trystan bull fucks" is pretty specific and it brings up two images.

Ahh BS! I love this. I do not want my kid to find porn that easy. Porn for kids may be your thing (sick!), but I love any mechanism of controlling access to this.

I hadn't noticed a difference really, but then I've always been fairly specific in my search requests because I can't be arsed with wading through hundreds of images looking for what I want.

It's quite a good move for the UK as there's a big hoo-ha about how easy it is for kids to find porn. This has led to a campaign requesting the government to force all ISPs to automatically block porn unless the bill payer specifically requests that the filter is turned off. Yet another example of the 'nanny' state and how adults are no longer trusted to be responsible - mind you, to be fair, many parents here couldn't give a shit about what their kids get up to on a computer!
