I didn't know wild turkeys existed outside of a bottle.
Inspired - but too tired.
I'd go out and shout 'Thanksgiving' to them.
How very cool!
Thank you for sharing.
That's really special.
Check out my very own Body Hair Lovers and Photography Groups!
they walk by like the own the joint....my dog was going ape shit. He can't chase them (I wouldn't let him in any event) on account of his toe boo boo.....

We have about a hundred up in the back fields this year.
Snacking on the corn I guess.
Maybe they think you're a vegitarian?![]()
A friend lives in the city--as do I. One morning she saw a tom with a harem of six hens strutting down the middle of the street looking from one side to the other, apparently looking for more property.
For the record, a grouping of turkeys is called a "rafter".
This concludes your random factoid for the day.
Or a 'gang' or a 'posse'. Geese come in 'gaggles', but only when they are on the ground. In flight, they are a 'skein'.
To FPNY: You're so lucky to live in a place where wildlife can take a leisurely stroll across your property. All I get are squirrels and the occasional raccoon.
Oh, shoula named this thread, "some turkeys walk down my driveway". Who knew? I always thought it was a gaggle of turkeys...huh....
You men are very very smart......

I have a bunch near me as well. I can't figure out how the coyote's don't get them.
( I have a coyote den at the edge of my property)
Quick Pa git the shotgun!![]()
Isn't it wonderful to live in a location with so much wildlife. I especially enjoy the bald eagles and loons that nest on "my" lake. We're very lucky.
I'd love to have a gaggle of bald eagles to watch. I've never seen any near here. I've seen huge hawks, piliated wood peckers, a mink, red tail fox, a coyote drinking from our pond, but never any eagles.
