How often do you vacuum your place?

My neighbour seems to be a vacuum cleaner freak. Does it several times a day and he doesn't have a cat anymore. What's the deal

I hoover the place once a week maybe not even that much. Usually when I can feel stuff with my bare feet like dropped raisins or bits of nuts then yeah it's time...

I do it at a minimum once a week.... I have a dog but besides that 95% of household dust is dead skin cells so i prefer to suck them up...

Oh and I have a Dyson which sucks really good and it usually fills at least one tank when I do it once a week....

Good deal - I feel better already. I thought maybe I was being a real slob....but even if someone is coming over as in a Mr. goodfuck I don't bother. Never had a hookup comment on bits on the carpet....

I vacuum the kitchen and hallway (with my Hoover Quick Broom) twice weekly because they get the bulk of the traffic.
I Swiffer Wet-jet the bathroom once each week.
I dust the bedroom floor monthly. (I have hardwood floors)
The living groom gets vacuumed with the regular Hoover once a week.

I have a dog and a cat (and allgeries) so it should be a few times a week, but I can't be bothered. I have kids too so I'm used to crunching stuff under foot daily.

I clean the house about ever 2-3 months. I am so busy with school and everything else I do not have enough time to clean, but I try.

I wouldn't mind one of those robot cleaners to tidy up a bit mid-week. But a) I'm too cheap; b) I think the technology still has to mature and become a bit more powerful slash sophisticated; and c) I'm really too cheap.

I know I should vacuum once a week, but somehow it works out to be when we are expecting someone over or about once every month and a half or every two months.

Sorry to disappoint, this was the lounge before the new leather suite, and my bedroom isn't going to help my cause either!!! Guess I need to tear a corner of my 'Britishness Card'.

I can see the dust collecting around the 14 electrical cables under my desk.

Never. Or hardly ever. Not any more.

Time being short and my rheumatiz being what it is....we took a look at the dustballs rolling through the corral and joined the pampered class by turning the task over to domestic experts. So once each week...they turn up while we are at the office and when we walk back through the door at night....ta da...a small miracle has occurred.

How is your life enriched my knowing so and so vacuums their place once a week

I just think questions like this are the papprazzi of a message board. Wasted space.

I dont care what color a person's toothbrush is, how much change they have in their pocket, if they will tie their shoe if it is unlaced or see how far they can go before tying it, if they put on their underwear inside out, will they leave it like that.

Again, this isnt what makes a message board and I dont look down on Mike because he asked.

Ill tell OP that it is not a slam against him because this is happens here often.

It was just a spur of the moment thought that motivated the thread as are many other threads in HT. But it is useful to note that NO ONE so far has picked several times a day so that is one more confirmation that I have a weird neighbour.
But yeah you are correct - it isn't the most original thread since it has been brought up before.

I vaccum once a week at least. But when its near the finals I probably only do it once a month or just hire a day maid to clean it.

Thanks for not getting bugged out by my comments and that is why I wrote you to assure you that it was not your question.

I have used "my place is messy" as an excuse to not have people over. I dont like to place host whether for family or 'hook ups' (which has only happened recently)

But my place is clean and I prefer it that way. Its embarrassing to have had a messy place for so long. I have lived here for 17 years and my oriental rug shows that I have been there that long. It is dirty even though I have vacummed it.

I have a cat that likes to tip over glasses and I have had more than one glass of milk (or pop) spilled onto the rug and other than mopping it up, the spilled fluids have probably started to show on the rug.

Did I mention I have linoleum floors through my place. Thats why the rent is so cheap. I sweep and mop the floors more than I vacuum.

Life here is fine. Thanks for asking. It looks like it may snow soon where I live (40 miles East of vancouver). The heavy snowfall seems to happen every other year and that year is this year.
