post breakup ... There have been bad days and worse days. Today is definitely worse ... I miss my ex dearly, but I won't give in.

Don't. You're young, lots of shit to endure. Wait until you spend over 3 decades with someone and you wake up one morning to find them dead as door nail. You talk about bad days? I'm like you, I still miss him so much it hurts at times. Everyone says it gets better but it really doesn't, you just get use to the pain that it becomes familiar. Hang in there.

Re: 11 days
My ex and I broke up, a surprise from him, 10 years ago. For the first five, I often spontaneously sobbed uncontrollably. Then he started talking to me again online and we're good friends again, but never again lovers. The pain has subsided yet I still sob on a rare occasion or two. So, it does get better in time even if not going completely away. Much more bearable.

I honestly believe that if we keep looking forward, the next thing is always better, you'll never forget those that where once part of you, but every next time you know yourself better, you're a bit more grown-up and mature and that can only bring good things to that next time... Time doesn't heal, but brings knowledge and acceptance, it's up to you to keep moving!
Going back, most of the times, doesn't solve anything, it's just a temporary fix, like peeing in your pants to keep yourself warm...

Just remember: he cheated on you, used you, and betrayed you in the worst possible way. None of that makes it any easier, of course. You had deep feelings for him, and those don't just go away. But, the hurt does lessen with time. Please know we're all here for you.
