That is one impressive 'innings' to reach in life, living to nearly 105.Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, who designed some of the 20th Century's most famous modernist buildings, has died just before his 105th birthday.
He rose to international fame as the architect of the main government buildings in the futuristic Brazilian capital, Brasilia, inaugurated in 1960.
I actually didn't know who he was, although I knew how Brazil moved its capital to the newly-conceived and relatively recently-built city of Brasilia. The BBC article had linked some pics.
For designs based in the 1950s and 1960s, I really like his style.
