Following the release of Woman this year, Rhye's Michael Milosh, aka Milosh, is readying a new album, Jetlag. It's out November 26 via Deadly/eOne Music Canada.

The album is a collaborative effort between Milosh and his wife Alexa, both musically and in the album's accompanying visuals.

Jerome Derradji's Still Music will release a follow-up to 2005's In The Dark: The Soul Of Detroit on October 29th.

That first compilation (which was re-released last year) chronicled the contemporary Detroit beatdown scene ("somewhere between Detroit techno, house and soul" according to the label), with tracks from artists like Marcellus Pittman and Rick Wilhite showing that the scene was still strong. Now, eight years later, Still Music is releasing another In The Dark collection, this time subtitled Detroit Is Back. Described as "a journey through Detroit's basement clubs, studios and warehouses," it's a look at the more soulful end of the city's musical spectrum. Pittmann and Wilhite return, as do Amp Fiddler, Delano Smith and Keith Worthy, and this time Terrence Dixon, DJ 3000, Reggie Dokes and Craig Huckaby (brother to Mike) all join the fold as well.

    Tracklist

    CD1:
    01. Craig Huckaby - The Answer feat. Kelly Hayes
    02. Alex Israel - Bubble Wrap 106
    03. Reggie Dokes - Cyber Love
    04. Patrice Scott - Cosmic Rituals
    05. Gabbamonkey - 2 Pace Back
    06. Delano Smith - A Message For The DJ feat. Diamondancer
    07. Todd Modes - I'd Rather Be With You
    08. Patchworks - Celebration (Amp Fiddler Remix)
    09. Mike "Agent X" Clark - Free Your Mind
    10. Raybone Jones & Jon Easley - As She Moves
    11. Rick Wilhite - Magic WAter (St Jean Remix)
    12. Tony Ollivierra - Hemoglobin (Jerome Derradji Acid Mix)

    CD2:
    01. Marcellus Pittman - Make It Work
    02. Alex Israel - Cash Neutral
    03. Terrence Dixon - The Fall Guy Pt. 1
    04. Keith Worthy - Cyclops
    05. DJ 3000 - Faygo

Yorkshire’s Hot Since 82, aka Daley Padley, is one name house heads have been seeing everywhere this year. He’s had numerous big tracks as of late (including his sexy beast of a remix for Green Velvet’s “Bigger Then Prince”), a stellar Essential Mix, and now he’s got an album, Little Black Book, set to be release via Ultra Music/Moda Black. The album will include the aforementioned remix as well as other massive Hot Since ’82 mixes of Rudimental, Shadow Child, and of course numerous originals. If you order the album via Moda’s website, you get a special mix at the same time.

    GRAVE103 :: Xiu Xiu 'Nina' out Dec 3rd, 2013

The first Xiu Xiu full length on Graveface is an 11 song Nina Simone covers album featuring some incredible musicians: Ches Smith, Tim Berne, Tony Malaby, Mary Halvorson, Andrea Parkins and Jamie Stewart of course. From Jamie: "The idea came being back stage in Austin TX, opening for Swans and feeling like I did not play well. Michael Gira and I had the night before talked about our mutual love for Nina Simone and how her intensity and crazy political truthfulness always pushed us to try harder. After watching the Swans that night and knowing the difficult ups and downs of their history and now their epic and beautiful persistence, they made me want to try harder as well. Nina Simone's singing is way over my head and while I was back stage feeling like i blew it that night, hearing the swans be amazing and thinking of Nina made me want to not give up. The idea came from wanting to honor her, challenge myself to be better than I think I can be and to say thank you to music. Ches Smith is the only person i know who could understand this in his heart and also handle the technical side of fearlessly reorienting such wonderful music."
