Tonight's 'Scandal' (SPOILERS)
Fitz gets SHOT! in the last couple of seconds

And yes a lot of really good stuff happened before that but all I can think about it Fitz getting shot.
While watching the previews I thought 'Maybe he gets shot in this episode......but...nahhhhh'.
Of course they wanted us to think that the big shocker was supposed to be the fact that his camp rigged the vote (which was a surprise) but nothing beats those last couple of seconds.

Re: Tonight's 'Scandal' (SPOILERS)
MissAnne.....I have heard nothing but GOOD things about Kerry & Scandal...Kerry is as beautiful as they come, a strong Activist for Civil Rights and she's a great actress...I'm deff gonna check her out in Jamie Foxx's new Flick Django unchained next month.. ...The Steve Harvey Morning Show crew continue to tell their listners that they should watch Scandal because it is Must-see-Drama-TV....
I actually have the entire season set to pre-record on my DVR but I never watch a single episode and I delete each new episode each week to make space for other things...I'm so addicted to MSNBC and Politics I'm about ready to Print my Name on some yard signs and plant them in my front yard...
The ELECTION is OVER and I'm trying so hard to not watch that station but I'm deleting other shows so I can Record & watch MSNBC shows later on....
I'm a MESS....

Mister Majestic, Scandals is the show to wean yourself from MSNBC with. I call it the soft under-belly of The West Wing.

Re: Tonight's 'Scandal' (SPOILERS)
I saw this thread and decided to see the ending of the episode for myself. I haven't watched it in weeks.
I've been gradually losing interest in the show, I have to admit. I wonder if they'll ever move away from the White House stuff? I find this portion of the show to be getting really goofy. And Fitz and Olivia's relationship has just become stagnant and redundant.
It's like it's trying to be partially a fun nighttime soap and partially a serious political drama and West Wing it ain't despite all the speed-talking and speed-walking they do while spouting some pseudo-political mumbo jumbo. lol

YES! I love her as well. She really is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.
Django is definately on my Christmas movie list
MSNBC is my family's crack as well. You cant go a day w/o hearing Al or Ed up in here. But, Scandal has politics in it too...I want you to watch it so bad
. Its on Netflix and I believe HULU as well.

Re: Tonight's 'Scandal' (SPOILERS)
Thatgirls speaks of speed-talking, and both my roommate and I have had trouble understanding because of it. However, recently either we're adapting or the director has slowed things down. I still have to say that Olivia seems to be much too smart to accept Fitz's hogwash. Loving her is way down on his list of priorities.

Yeah, at some point, I stopped getting swept up by their heated moments in S1 and realized how creepy and controlling Fitz is which became really evident in S2. That coupled with the way he treats his actual wife (especially since we've grown to know her and all the sacrifices she made for him)...It doesn't sit well with me at all.
Maybe they'll kill him off and Olivia will get to move on.

She has moved on. He told her that he would let her go a couple of episodes ago.
She is with Norm Lewis' character now. All of the love scenes were flashbacks about how and why she left his camp.
Plus there was this scene (flashback) in which Olivia tells Fitz that he is controlling her.

Yes, but do you honestly think this is permanent? I haven't been following the show closely lately but it seems like she keeps seperating herself from him only to go running back. So, that's why I doubt that the recent developments are anything but temporary. The show is too dependent on their romance and his creepy emotional hold over her will never go away.

I heard that Scandal's ratings are going up it looks like Shonda Rhimes has done it again her third successful television series on ABC. I love Kerry Washington's a talented and beautiful actress nice to see her doing so well with her own show!

FWIW, I just saw the trailer for Showtime's new show Ray Donavan. Reminded me of Scandal. Main character is a "fixer" of sorts for high profile people. Only it's darker.

Yes, I keep up with Tv By The Numbers and they moved it up from "On the Bubble" to "Likely Renewal."
Elementary is its main competition for the coveted 18-49 demographic and the female demographic. It's kind of a tight race it seems, ratings wise.

Re: Tonight's 'Scandal' (SPOILERS)
Dunno that I find their romance to be creepy, but I do find it incredibly stupid for a woman of Olivia's intelligent. "My wife won't divorce me; I can't divorce now, but as soon as I can; my marriage means nothing; etc.; etc.; etc." An age-old story.

lol, True.
Tbh, tho, they are both too grown to be having teenage-relationship type drama. The melodrama and the hysterics are hilarious so romantic.

"Scandal" sets new ratings record again!
Scandal resumed its sophomore run on Thursday night by hitting all-time highs,
drawing 8.4 million total viewers (up 18 percent from its fall finale) and a 2.8 demo rating (up 17 percent and beating CBS’ Elementary by four tenths).
Anyone smell a two season pickup and 40% pay boost?
Only da kween

Such a good episode !! So many things were uncovered. Olivia knew about cheating in the election. Fitz asks for a divorce. Norm Lewis's character asked Olivia to marry her! Fitz's father wasn't faithful to his mother. Great writing in this episode.

Glad that this show is getting so much attention. I don't normally follow numbers/ratings, but thanks goodness that I'm totally invested in a SCRIPTED/NON REALITY show that holds my interest! I always have something to talk about with co workers on Fridays because of Scandal. Good stuff!
Side note: I LOVE that Olivia & her man got into when he asked her if she had slept with the President within the first 5 minutes. They wasted NO time getting into this last episode.

I know ! She played that "That's Sexist!" card really well LOL. I was not expecting about 70% of the show tonight. Im happy that they can still shock their fans.

More: HERE
Sooo. I just saw this adorable gifset and I'm suddenly considering getting back in to Scandal. IDEK. These two just have a lot of chemistry offscreen, ngl, I've noticed this from the get-go in interviews and stuff. No wonder their scenes on the show are intense. Grr, why does Fitz have to creep me out so much tho. Dilemma. Sigh.
