Re: When Did Tribal Tattoos Become the Worst Tattoos?

A Nazi-style swastika in the middle of the forehead is possible one of the worst tattoos
... but at least it acts as a convenient target and indicates where to aim.

Tattoos aren't for me, but they can be rather interesting to look at; Especially when they have a story attached to them.

I saw this last year. What do you all think?

It seems like some are badly done, but some were pretty decent or well done. It just seems like the stress out that tribal tattoos are bad. Although the guy with a feminine tribal tramp stamp had good reason to get it covered.

    That diagram...

Tattoos of dragons or wings are equivalent to "faggy lameness"?

    What does that even mean...

Re: When Did Tribal Tattoos Become the Worst Tattoos?

^Means, like tribal tattoos, they are unoriginal and "safe", with little to no meaning - the basic "go to" tattoo for a person that wants a tattoo but doesn't really want to think too much about it. Of course, like most "too cool for school" peons, the person HAD to equate gay with being somehow uncool. He also forgot the upper chest tattoo.

When I see a guy or girl with tattoos, I want my eyes to dance; I want to wonder about the whys, I want to hear about the story. When I see it's a tribal band(with guys mostly) or butterfly wing(on girls mostly)... there's not a lot of mystery there. I'll pick on Wuvable for a second here - when I saw the gear on his back I got a big ass grin for 2 reasons, and the second was I wanted to know where the hell that came from. That's the thing I like I about tattoos that have some thought to them - and why I'm so very bored of tribals.

Even Charles Manson has a story to tell in his frighteningly banal simplicity. Why can't others?

^ Ah, so "faggy lameness" means "unoriginal."

Still, I'd much rather people get tattoos of wings and dragons instead of fake tribal tats and barbed wire.

Some of them, especially the giant wings on the back with the intricate detailing can look stunning. Same goes for those really artsy Japanese dragon tattoos.
