Also I didn't name the competition shows - The Voice and Inkmaster. Plus I watch Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Craig Ferguson and Conan. Everything I have listed in my posts I watch DVRd except 1 show (Sons of Anarchy, as I said in an earlier post).

I LOVE Suits. It's one of my must-sees.

I just didn't list it cos it's not in my current line-up.

I don't know wtf they did by splitting up S2 but it seems like the rest of it will air starting January...

"Gravity Falls" operates on a bunch of levels, and it's not exactly clear how many. At its most basic, it's a fun show about kids, dealing with such basic stuff as sibling rivalry and the awkward "tween" years. And just on that level, it's a good watch. (Mabel gives at least two memorable lines per episode.) But then there's the vast array of supernatural crap going on in town - haunted convenience stores, time travelers, gnomes looking for a queen, living wax dummies, candy monsters. And the Pines just kind of accept it. Then there's the over-reaching plot. Who wrote the books? Are the books identical? Where is Book 1? Are there six books (to match the six-fingered hand on the cover)? What IS Stan's tattoo of? And what the hell is going on in Gravity Falls, anyway? Toss is in the puzzles and clues for the viewer at home (backmasking during the opening theme, codes, foreshadowing in the background of some scenes), and it's a surprisingly rich TV show.



Blink, and you'll miss Bigfoot fourteen seconds in...

I only recently started watching The Mentalist. I've almost done with S1.

It's a REALLY well done crime procedural. A genre that I'm almost never into but since it is similar to Elementary which I am loving, I decided to give it a chance. Very fun show. Patrick Jane is so quirky but also really dark. Perfection.

Now you did it. I started watching Arrow because of this thread.

lol, I'm still holding out on watching Arrow, but this thread is making me tempted to watch it. I will eventually watch it but I still can't bring myself to think it'll be worth watching. The lead actor looks so bland and stiff and I can't cope with bad leads.

But it has an 8.5/10 on IMDb so far... We'll see if that holds up.

I've also missed the last couple of series of Supernatural so I'm just going to buy the box sets and start from the beginning!

I am still trying to finish S7. And it feels like there is no end in sight...

Apparently it is planned to go on for two more seasons totaling at 10.

I don't watch much as far as "entertainment" series go - I'm always busy with something else and I don't multitask well. Many of the best series in recent years (such as the CSI's, 24, The West Wing) require undivided attention...on the other hand I can have news on and multitasking with that is no problem.

Probably the last series I followed pretty much unfailingly was TRAILER PARK BOYS when it was only on Canadian television. As the title sounds, it was a rather dysfunctional sitcom featuring trailertrash and lowlifes and petty criminals...and it was rich with foul language, Rick and others in and out of jail, etc.

Er, yeah, so I have mixed feelings about it (lol @ some of the dialogue and the lead isn't the worst actor ever but he seriously needs to improve..especially doing those voice overs ugh) but by the end of it I decided I will keep watching. I have some catching up to do though. I didn't know 7 episodes had aired already.

I really like supernatural too. Just finished up season 6 a month ago. Going to start watching 7 after I finish my semester. I love Casteel Can't wait to watch season 8

Castiel is my favorite part of the show. So much so that my enthusiasm for the show has become linked with how often he makes appearances, how much they're incorporating him into the story arcs and whether or not I like how they're handling his story. When I feel like they're not giving me adequate Castiel fanservice, my interest wanes. Maybe I am obsessed with him.

I'm a tv nerd. I watch shows for decent dialogue, plots and character development.

The lead is hot in a really bland way. But the bodyguard guy is hotter to me.

It's far from being one of the best on TV right now but I would still say it's slightly above average. I was also "mehhh" after the first episode but it gets better with each one that passes.

Seriously though, they're both handsome, hunky and muscley and stuff but the lead is dull as hell whereas the other guy is charismatic. Besides, I remember the bodyguard actor from when he was on Dexter and I found him hot back then, too. *shrug* Maybe the lead will grow on me.

I think a lot of people were lured in by the hot leads for Supernatural but then they stayed for the plot. At least the scifi/paranormal/urban fantasy fans did. It still has a rabid fanbase after all these years.

It has potential, you're right. I prefer 'genre shows' so the geek in me is intrigued and happy to see more of them on television rather than yet another crime procedural or medical drama.

Me too. I used to like Dean and Sam a lot but it kinda dulled for me after season 2. But I still stayed for the plot. I started to get really interested when they introduced Castiel. And the actor just plays him so well. To bad so many seasons into the show, Destiel isn't going to happen. On the other hand famous competition Sterek is actually considered by the producers of the show.

Yup I am one of them. To be honest though the show doesn't really feature a lot of handsome or hot guys or at least memorable ones like Dean, Sam, their (young) father and Castiel. They do however feature a lot of pretty girls like Ruby, The reaper (feamle), Sam & Dean's mother etc.etc.
