Try this....
Re: (Super) Grover Norquist says he'll go after pledge-breakers
I don't really care what Jack was in a twist over regarding the jabs over the silly names that some politicians seem to have been saddled with.
The point that was made is that it is pretty bizarre when someone accuses a poster of living in a 'twisted world' because of names, but doesn't seem to have any awareness of living in a twisted world where some unelected demagogue has been able to get republican politicians to literally sign away their freedom and responsibilities as elected representatives and to help him steer the country toward economic destruction.
But I see by your post that you are sputtering.
Slow down and take a deep breath.
The '85' want you to pace yourself.

NOTHING should be off the table, not taxes, and NOT entitlement reform. The biggest part of rising spending costs outside of defense is PRECISELY in Medicare and Medicaid...reform there is essential.
This to me is the absolute principle of democracy. When you have the laws you work under, EVERYTHING ELSE should be flexible and open to debate and consideration, depending on the circumstances. Pledges are absolutely destructive of the whole idea of government and of what the opposition is supposed to be doing.

Yes, you're right. Republicans renouncing their express obligation to represent their constituents in favor of promising to lockstep follow a partisan agenda regardless of the consequences is funny, twisted and ironic. Especially when they're a party that just got their rear ends handed to them in an election by those constituents.

Re: (Super) Grover Norquist says he'll go after pledge-breakers
Hey Grover--You want a say in all this tax pledge and fiscal cliff and whatever else political bent you have?
Then SHUT UP and get busy--get yourself a seat at the political table--run and WIN a seat in the Congress/Senate. Oh yeah, that would take some action on your part.
Or all you all talk...

Meh... they will probably assume it is me doing Susan Rice.... or that this is another thread about Susan Rice... apparently she is the go to when they realize their ideas and policies suck.... or in here when the argument is debunked at every turn...
