Jackson, the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times both reported Wednesday, was sending a letter to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to make official his resignation.
But at the same time, newspapers in Chicago reported that the Justice Department has been investigating Jackson for both alleged campaign finance violations.
thank god... his reelection was an embarrassment, imho. he served, what -- a quarter of his Congressional term before taking a leave of absence without ever giving a specific account of wtf was going on? not to mention the multiple federal investigations going on against him right now.
there was a report a few weeks ago that he was demanding a permanent disability leave package before he'd resign. wonder if he got it.
