Last week we had our cat Minnie in to see the opthamologist and were told that she could regain the vision in her one eye with a cataract operation.
So for 7 days, we've been putting in drops and getting ready for her 2 week post-op recovery.
This morning we drove her into the city (2hrs of her complaining) and checked her in.
I just had a call from the surgeon to tell me that when they did the final test before surgery, they found that her retina was too damaged and that she wouldn't regain her sight so they won't be operating. She is already deaf, so we can't afford to have her lose vision as well and she has another cataract developing in the other eye.
I am so terribly disappointed right now.
