Sidebar gadgets won't work all of a sudden. Help.
I try to open my gmail, and my USGS earthquake gadget, both of which open up a web page.
Problem is, they are saying that i need to set an association for them. I know where the set associations is, but what the hell am i associating??? I presume that whatever i am associating (protocol) is with a broswer. I usually use IE, but i'd like to use FF instead.
I just don't know what the protocol is (for accessing browser via sidebar gadgets)
Its all messed up, because i downloaded an antispyware virus that installed google chrome, and switching the default browser that my gmail and USGS monitor use. I didn't want Chrome, so deleted it, but now i can't use the gadgets at all.....until i set this association thingy.

Well, 6 hours later, problem solved. And yep, the most simplest solution.
All i had to do, was click Start, Enter Default Programmes, and set Internet Explorer to my default browser.
That's it. All that time, for that. Though to be fair, i have been busy in debate.
