'Marriage equality' is like 'Steam train equality' or 'Abacus equality' or "Dodo Equality.

It may be very nice principle but what are you going to do with it?

Why bother going to so much effort pleading for something and alienating millions of people at the same time as millions of people are throwing into it into the rubbish as outdated and unwanted.

Lots of gay guys here pleaded to get to their relationships recognised by the government but they suddenly changed their mind when they realised the Social Welfare laws allocated less payments to a couple than to two single men.

I have this notion that most gay men who want to get married are very rich and/or are VERY conservative and/or are into role-playing and/or want to use laws for financial advantage or to obtain mail-order husbands from overseas.
