I just realized that...when you hold an egg- an egg actually came from chicken-butt and therefore it's stink. Try to sniff your hand after touching egg- it smells like 'anal'
so ..dont forget to wash your hands afterwards

A region of Catalonia once advertised itself (in English) with a tourism slogan "A Hazelnut - what a lovely gesture".

I didn't understand it myself but it's mentioned as one of many very funny slogans here—

"A region in Catalonia"? Sounds like talking about a county in Nantucket county.
I didn't find the reference to that one (neither did the search tools, may be because of that), but that about smiling in Spain has always made me smirk.

Gay poet, Gerrit Komrij (1944-2012) and his partner Charles Hofman

“Divest me of my masks and/ I’m (…) With marble grave close at hand”

“Whoever changes colour even faster/ Will really disappear, perhaps”.

“Strip me of poetry and/ I’m (...) A man with no magic wand.”

"For Komrij, the first and last line of each poem are nothing less than reflections of the boundaries imposed on the life of the poet – and of humanity. The constriction of the chest evoked by the presence of these boundaries prompts the poet to stretch the bow between them as tautly as possible"

I learnt that, even in this community, prejudices are rampant, discrimination a characteristics of certain people. I know I can't change people, I can't just visualise an idealistic paradise whereby the norms of society and the predilections of certain people are ignored or doesn't exist!

I've also learnt that I can be really emotionally unstable when some event triggered it, lasting from a few minutes to even a few days. If I have friends to rant to, good, but most of the time I feel so lonely and no one else seems to care about me.

Young people have hernias just like old people. I heard Sarah Bernhardt had one but she was old and overfed with lapdogs.

I'm amazed that young people can have such poor muscle tone.

You are young and gay... believe me, being Asian or not cookier-cutter-cut enough is not adding much to it: it's just the being young, gay, and being yourself.

A group of music-sellers claim that Rameau’s “Les Surprises de l’Amour” conveys emotions. I admit I don't know this piece intimately but I say Rameau and everything pre-Mozart has no emotion. It is pure, abstract music.

It requires the listener to hear and appreciate the melody and rhythm but I say no emotion or intellect is required.

For instance, I can enjoy this nice CD cover but no emotion or intellect is required.

And Wagner's exotic chords and chord inversions are pure emotion rather than cold, rational mannerisms... and Schubert's wayward modulations (something that Haydn still thought of restrinting in his own compositions), in the general context of his neverending sections, is all pure "emotion", no mere "abstract" [ ] technicalities...

You must be enthralled with the emotional power of Katy Perry's Roar [sic ]
