From an interview with a German guy who raised a wolf cub I learnt the other day that wolves don't like to hear the German language..I think he said because it sounds too aggressive to them.

It is true what they say about the weather in Texas - If you don't like it, just wait a minute, it'll change quickly. Check this out, the forecast for Dallas-Fort Worth, courtesy of KRLD-AM Radio - Today, decreasing clouds this morning, clearing out by lunch time, then temperatures SKYROCKETING!!! Projected high, 86*! Today's record is 88*. It's still winter on the calendar, ladies and gentlemen. Really? Seriously?
Fast-forward to tomorrow night, Tuesday night - Mostly clear and quite chilly. Immediate Dallas-Fort Worth will be 32*-35* with outlying rural North Texas getting down to between 28* and 32*! Yeesh!!!
Why I ♥ Betty White - Her quote to Huffington Post's Chris Harnick:
Oh! I didn't know I was a gay icon. I get a lot of mail -- but I don't get many bad letters -- but I got a woman the other day that was so upset with me because they said, "How do you feel about the gay marriage thing?" and my answer to that is, "I really don't care with whom you sleep, I just care what kind of a decent human being you are." I figure all the rest of it is your business and not mine. And not hers, incidentally.

^Funny thing, that.
In my life, I have had to use algebra in daily situations several times.
(However, I remember almost nothing from my trig and calculus days, and very little from geometry. Go figure.)

Re: What have you learnt today?
Sorry if pic isn't very clear, but here's an example. Find the square root of 892.4765

If the number of digits of the integer portion is and odd number of digits, then find the closest square less than left most single digit. If there are even number of digits take the square less than the left most two digits. Deduct the square from it, and place the root of that square above.
Next bring down the next two digits. (See arrows)
On the left, write down 2x (the digit placed on the top, in this case 2) to give 4 then write it as 4_ x _ <= 492, the _ is a digit makes the largest product that is less than 492, in this case 9, hence 49 x 9 appears on the next row, and this is deducted from the remainder.
Write 9 above the two digits on the top that were brought down.
You need to ad 2 x this 9 digit to the next line. I've placed a 1 over the 4 so it needs to be added to the left most digit to give rise to 58 on the next line.
Carry one the same steps by finding the mystery number, subtracting from the remainder, until you want however many number of places of accuracy.

QFT. All you need is to remember a couple of simple rules, and you can just continue for as many places of accuracy.

You mean cafestol.
There is a twist to this aspect of the coffee story, because cafestol and kahweol may also have some health benefits that are lost when they're filtered out. The research is in the preliminary stages, but cafestol and kahweol could have some anticancer effects and be good for the liver.
They loved living here.
But I can't let them stay.
They'll have to find food, and I hope that they may.
Good luck, boys! Good luck!

I learnt that weevil actually a tiny living creature. ^^

When one of jubbers (Vannie) made a thread about "There was weevil in pastina!" I thought "there was an evil in my pasta"
well, actually he meant that there might be bugs included as ingredients in pasta which is a no-secret in food industry that..
government actually allow insects (up to 70%) as part of the ingredients.
