Considering my assumptions were correct of why you made this thread, here is why that confirmation is wrong. It was the same media that accurately projected the outcome of the election whereas Fox News and Bill O'Reilly were so sure that their information and "facts" projected Romney to be the winner. When Obama won by a landslide again, I was amazed by just how shocked the Republicans were that they lost. The answer was because they were so mistrustful of the Associated Press, that they genuinely believed in crackpots and Republican pundits who were cheerleading for the GOP ticket.

It's clear which side was living in the reality distortion field.

At first, I thought the point of this thread was to imply the president was having an affair with an unknown pool reported (à la Petraeus), because she tried to brag in front of her fellow reporters that she had known him for years.

Then, you said that the point of this thread was that the press was "cheerleading" and not doing its job. I pointed out that your example of "cheerleading" was anything but, and you now tell me that cheer leading by the press "has nothing to do" with this thread or your posts!

I am back to trying to read between the lines of what insidious message you are trying to send.

Since you will not tell us the meaning behind this (apparently nonsensical) thread, I will conclude that your complaint is that you do not like it when the president has press conferences, and you do not like it when he does not have them.

They seem to be having a hard time rehabilitating the base, now that the leadership has decided that the angry white guy show isn't working anymore. The talking GOP heads and the GOP primary rejects are all acting rather conciliatory, but the base is filing papers of secession with the White House.

It would seem one or the other hasn't gotten the message to stop being an embarrassment.

The GOP now has to figure out how to close Pandora's Box. It's a lot of hate they riled up, and the rank and file have become rather addicted to it.
