I notice the popular vote is going Romney's way. Does it amount to anything apart from frustration for the right?

C-Span has not called the race yet though it is lining up for Obama. Romney IS trending towards winning the popular vote which would make it interesting.

Tammy Baldwin lost the senate race officially.

Edit: seems this race is too close because I have been getting so many conflicting results on it.

I thought they called it a bit early. Maybe this is when the software starts inventing votes.

It's about voter extortion. If your employer/union says "you must for X candidate" or you're fired, how do you verify that without a photo of your ballot.

Yes that is the flip side of the coin. The problem with vote buying and extortion has always been how to know that the person you are buying or blackmailing is actually voting the way you want.

What's the situation with Nebraska and Maine? don't they split their votes?

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

An issue of concern that needs to be looked at but if a concern is raised, a recount would reveal any tampering. The other some touch screen voting machines that were turning votes for Romney into votes for Obama due to the screen not being calibrated properly.

Exactly. Romney needed one other swing state and he didn't deliver. If Romney got all 3 of those states it would 272 Obama and 266 Romney.

All four of Maine's electoral votes are in for Obama.

Nebraska #02 votes like Indiana. 2004 Bush won Ind. by about R+21 and Neb. #02 at R+22. They flipped, in 2008, for Obama: Ind. at D+1.03 and Neb. #02 at D+1.19. Likely that Neb. #02 flips back to red. (Especially if Romney won over Ind. by mid- to upper-single digits.)

(Laughs) Romney is currently leading the popular vote by 300 votes.

Virginia and Florida look good for Obama to carry again. That would amount to 332 electoral votes.

Those software "patches" were done contrary to federal law. I don't care who wins, the people who carried that out and approved it belong in prison. Otherwise, people who may want to tamper in the future will just be encouraged.

Note: It looks like Missouri's Claire McCaskill has landslided Todd Akin. When she unseated Jim Talent, in 2006, she won by D+2.3. The following has her leading him close to 15 points. With 95% of the vote in.
