Just got home from working as an e-judge. I'm tired. Extremely busy in the morning -- very slow toward the end of the day. The poll that I worked was at an upper class senior center -- we even got served breakfast, lunch, and dinner by the center.

Not really a lot of excitement in the poll I worked -- but according to the text messages from the county election board -- there were some huge problems with illegal politicking at some polls.

That's not what I asked you.

California is the State of "Referendum."

I'm just curious to know which candidates or referendums that you're watching, or awaiting the results from.

I've got the Real Clear Politic's interactive map up running, started with their no toss ups projection and so far of the state's projected only two have changed in the favor of Romney. IF all the rest of their guesses hold true then Obama wins 280 - 258 electoral collage votes. Flipping around the possible battlegrounds left, Romney HAS to win Florida and likely Ohio too in order to win.

    California... Prop 30 - Yes!! (Education funding), 31 - Yes, 32 - Hell fucking no with a capital H, 33 - Yes, 34 - Yes (Abolish Death penalty), 35 - No (This is well intentioned but very poorly written), 36 - Yes (Revises Three Strikes), 37 - Yes, 38 - Yes, 39 - No, 40 - No.

Maybe I confused one of these... but I'm much too tired to go into what tehy are.

That's right guys. We had TEN referendums.

Big vote so far for the libertarian candidate. By the looks of the results in so far on other state offices it appears republicans will vote mccaskil back in.

Oh there were only two. Measure B is a condom bill... I ended up voting No on it because it's poorly written. Maybe if they fix it to provide better access to services for porn stars and std checks up I would vote in favor. Measure J had to do with traffic relief... I voted yes on it even though I know it'll be minimal impacting anything.

You voted for "Libertarian" ideals, and that you like bareback porn.

And that if the measured referendums were alphabetic then a measure "J" suggests that there was more than two, and rather a 10th.

With 87% reporting in Florida and such a slow count in democrat heavy Miami-Dade with many republican counties already 100% counted... Obama has taken a 37,000 vote lead in that state.

I always use condoms myself. But, the proposed law was very poorly written... it would result in jail time for producers. Porn companies would simply move to other states/counties.... Kulindahr kinda swayed me on that one...

CNN has called it for Claire as well. I am soooo relieved!

So all this hand wringing and all the fervor and we end up with the same shit we started out with.... will anything ever be passed in the congress?

I will say, BBC without their hard punditry is awesome. Non-partisan and very objective with both sides.

Update... with 89% counted in Florida, Obama has increased his lead to 47,000 votes. This is in line with what I expected.

Ohio has closed up though... still I expect Obama to win that one.

Rising bellwether Colorado: Obama leads in bellwether counties (state wise) in Arapahoe (Littleton) and Jefferson (Golden). They voted D in 2008 first time since 1964. (Larimer County, Fort Collins, has no numbers yet. When I checked a few minutes ago.)
