I looked him up, and I found a 2011 quote from him on gay marriage:

I don't know a lot about him so I'm not sure what he may have said or done in the past that was anti-gay, but maybe he's come around?

I'm not usually one to throw things out there without having better information or verified source(s).

I am also one to admit when I am incorrect on something - and I just went on hearsay, what others have said about this guy, etc. and apparently the information of him being anti-gay is unwarranted and incorrect.

After doing a little research, seems he is gay-friendly while being conservative in his values. Good for him!
