How do you prevent "attached thumbnails" from appearing at bottom of post?

I'm using the Standard Editor. When I want to upload an image and have it appear full size in my post without the attached thumbnail also appearing at the end of the post, how do I accomplish that these days?

Do you have "Enhanced Attachment Uploading" off or on? I think it's to do with that, but I'm not totally sure. All I know is that I have it set to off and thumbnails appear when I upload pics. I also use Standard Editor.

I have "Enhanced Attachment Uploading" turned on. If memory serves me it used to be possible to just edit the code for "attached thumbnails" out of the post, but that doesn't seem to be possible now.

After watching M10000's video tutorial, I see that the upper leftmost icon is for easily switching from the Standard to the WYSIWYG editor and I can just follow the rest of his instructions to get the result I want and then switch back to the Standard editor before submitting my post. I selected the Standard editor in my settings because I found it easier to use with code tags when I'm logged in through my cell service through Opera Mini.

The text and code in the editor doesn't look different when I switched back to Standard than it did before switched to WYSIWYG and changed the size to display and centering, but the changes are retained in the submitted post.

use the WYSIWYG editor (The symbol with the two AA) and double click an embedded image in your post. then change it to fullsize.
