The Evil Dead (2013) Trailer.
Note: This is a red band trailer, so if anyone actually has a problem with that then don't watch. Although I am assuming if you're opening this thread you wouldn't mind in the first place.

My thoughts? I think it looks pretty intense, with all the remake babble aside.

I hate remakes, they're almost never as good as the original.

well it doesn't look as campy and fun like the original which was what i liked about, but bruce cambpell, one of the actors from the first film series actually spoke really positive about it. i still think it's not going to be that good, but the part where the girl cuts her tongue into two kinda fascinates me for some sick reason.

I honestly don't remember the first one trying to be fun, I remember it being dark. I haven't watched it in a while so I can't fully say. But II and Army of Darkness were definitely the ones that were fun and goofy.

is this going to be a remake of the first movie, or is it going to be a new episode set 30 years after the first one..?

Pretty sure it is a straight up remake of the very first one. People are flipping even though Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are in on this.

The problem with Drag Me To Hell was that everything looked much too crisp and clean for Raimi's (fairly dumb) humor to work throughout the picture, whereas Evil Dead had equally low standards for every aspect of the movie.

I'm a huge fan of the original. I saw it at the theater upon initilal release (yes...I'm almost 50 LOL). The trailer is impressive. I'll definitely go see.

Hey DC. Did you think the original was campy? "Evil Dead 2" was definitely campy but I've always felt the first one was serious.

I'm hopeful, but sadly I'm not optimistic.
I'll be delighted if it's good. If it's not, at least we have the originals, two brilliant horror movies.

actually the first one was a lot more serious, but whenever i think of the evil dead nowadays i tend to think of the whole series as a whole rather than each part individually.
