Wow, that's beautiful too. It seems they just don't make beautiful, elaborate coinage like these anymore?

not really..there are a few nice modern examples out there; European ones , mostly

some of the U.S. commemoratives are nice...not many. I think that the last really beautiful coin that the U.S.issued was the Walking Liberty half-dollar ( the modern silver eagles have that obverse on them now)

wish we would go back to making coins like that

another coin that i just fell in love with is a brilliant uncirculated 1915 half Sol from Peru
