Turning off Youtube recommendations
Some days ago, Youtube slightly changed the layout and now I get all kinds of annoying, unwanted recommendations into the middle column where I expect to see my subscriptions. It makes it all confusing.
Does anybody know how to turn them off instead of hiding each manually?

There should be a Show Uploads box to tick near the top of the middle column, but the middle column misses out videos sometimes. It's best to use http://www.youtube.com/my_subscriptions?feature=mhee to see videos from channels you subscribe to as currently the youtube front page sucks.

I'd like to use the front page though, so I can reach any other page without going back first. Before the redesign, you could slightly adjust it (with the "show only uploads" option as you wrote), but now you can't change anything.
