What are some of the more used/overused expressions people use these days?

I see "hit me up" and "what's good in (name town) tonite?" ....

Please no text abbreviations like "idk"...more interested in expressions having several words at least.

To answer the question, two things drive me wild:

    "awesome"

    "no tea no shade".

Two examples I loathe: overuse of "iconic" (applied to just about anything); and the use of "pardon my pun" when the person did not make a pun, just a lame word association.

"Rocktober" and "zombie (everything)". In the past two weeks, I've been invited to four zombie parties, three zombie pub crawls, two zombie charity "runs", and five zombie concerts. At least two included the term "Rocktober" in the invite.

I sometimes hear people speak text-speak. Like actually say Oh Emm Gee instead of Oh My God or Tee Bee Aitch instead of To Be Honest. That always sounds so weird to me.

^Unfortunately, Ron, that expression fits gay Republicans very very well.

They schmoozy up to and vote for the same people who want to imprison them. So in their case, "when they lie down with dogs, they really will get fleas."

Oh, butt Johann, it goes far beyond mere fleas, because the reality is that, "When you lie down with Republicans you wake up fucked," as evidenced by the royal screwing the Bush administration gave the country.

don't know what to tell you about what people say in real life because people say a lot of things. nothing irk worthy. even though i have to admit whenever someone says the same word over again in about every sentence they make, it gets to be very annoying.

i can tell you about the web and texting. all the damn internet acronyms. people overuse them too much and the worst part is that sometimes, people make acronyms out of like 8 word phrases or combine acronyms altogether so it becomes a huge huh. for example, BTWDKCD (by the way, don't know don't care). come on, man. you lazy ass motherfucker, just type the sentence. i don't know all the internet slang going around. sheit, i just found out what btw was 2 months ago. i had no idea it meant by the way. you know things are changing when people are too lazy to simply type up something and it's no like they can't type 50 wpm.

"You know what I'm saying" when it's used at the end of every sentence. (No, no, no, no... I have no idea what you're saying because you keep distracting me by saying, "You know what I'm saying" at the end of every sentence!)

A guy at work is always saying "I don't want to say what I don't know" then he continues on to say it. I'm getting to the point were I want to tell him to shut the fuck up.
