Should I buy the galaxy note 2?

So I have an iPhone 4 and obviously it's time to get a new phone. I don't know if the iPhone 5 is the way forward or if the galaxy note 2 is the bad lad I should go for. Can anyone give me some advice please

Re: Should I buy the galaxy note 2?

So, goods and bads for both sides. I have the iPhone 5, got it launch day. There are problems with it. Some of the websites I frequent that worked well with my 4s don't work correctly on the 5. My phone has had problems (little things, my alarm wasn't working right, force closing apps, but the Apple Store has since remedied that with a firmware update). Basically, it is just waiting out Apple to release a software update to fix the rest of the little things that would go unnoticed by many. The only other complaint--and this is with developers, not apple-- is that many of the apps aren't configured to work with the 5's screen size. There are black bars across the top and bottom. Good things about it--Gorgeous screen, absolutely love it. The retina display is wonderful, and the extended screen, imo, fits perfectly in the hand. The apps that are reconfigured for the 5 are wonderful, and it is snappy, virtually lag free, and runs much faster than I honestly thought it would. Also-you have apple quality, so that's good. Battery life is good. I am able to get through an entire day with moderate internet usage, heavy texting, and light calling. Even some gaming.

For the note, I don't know too much about how it'll run seeing as it isn't out yet, but I would say that the battery is probably going to suck. I've had more androids than I can count, and that just seems to be a common flaw-a powerful system needs a stronger battery. The phone is a lot bigger than most people's hand, so it is more of a hassle to hold. Android apps aren't as well made as iPhones, if only because of the strong fragmentation between systems, and the lack of the Apple overlords condemning all apps to hell and back before they are released. Good things-Huge screen (if that's your thing). Crazy new S Pen integration, and the Samsung app suite, more free apps (though there'll probably be ads), and flash. For some, that's a make or break decision.

I know this seems slightly biased, but, like I said, haven't used the Note 2, so I can't make any firm statements about it until it is released. Basically, it is just a matter of aesthetics, and what you'll be using it for. Good luck!
