Obama's Dilemma
So far the Democrat debate performances have been a disaster. Obama's passive, bemused, overconfident, which he spins as being too polite, lol, was the worst in history. Biden's rude, interrupting, mocking, laughing was just as bad. It may be too late to repair the damage. He will be tempted to be, less "polite" but Biden was impolite and it hurt them. Another rude performance will hurt. His advertising campaign of personal attacks on Romney hasn't worked. Calling him liar, liar is more rudeness and it has not worked. Class warfare, attack the rich, has not worked. Act like an adult? Perhaps but standing on his record and his plan for the future is doomed to failure as well. The people overwhelmingly do not like his health care plan. His plan for the economy, tax the rich, will not solve the deficit problem. It is scheduled to be about foreign policy and that brings up the abysmal handling of the Libyan embassy problem, his dithering over Iran, his mishandling of Afghanistan--announcing in advance that the Taliban will will in 2014. And it is hard to attack Romney on foreign policy since Romney has no record to have to defend.

Try this....
Re: Obama's Dilemma
There already is a debate thread.
Why don't you stick to attacking him on the basis of his middle name and his record on immigration instead?

Lol
Starting threads is a problem now? Has to be cleared thru ????
On a board full of mitt-Paul sucks threads?
Get over it
I agree to some extent
It's like Goldilocks and the 3 bears
Obama's porridge was too cold
Bidens too hot
Both were extremes - not a very stable connection with non partisans
IMO they're way overplaying the "base" thingy
They're coming to NY this week

Re: Obama's Dilemma
Hypocrisy and nothing but Fox News talking points.
So it doesn't matter that conservative media, including Fox, can bash this President 24/7, calling him every name in the book, attacking his character, his family, manufacturing lies about his race and birthright. But that's not being rude.
Forget about the fact that in the interview that Brett Baier of Fox News did with Obama, he interrupted the President a total of 16 times simply because the President was out of step with the Fox toxic ideology. But that's not being rude.
You and the rest of the republicans know full well that Ryan was ill-prepared for this debate, demonstrated a frightening lack of knowledge of the war in Afghanistan and repeated the same old sound bites and talking points of the Romney campaign. Lip service. No details. Romney has a record of misguided foreign policy talking points that, YES, he needs to defend. He is not the POTUS. He is not privvy to highly classified information reserved for the President. As a candidate he is only briefed in generalities. Moreover, what foreign policy details he has revealed are so far not radically different than what Obama is doing.
Like too many pro-Romney people, you need to get educated about what he really stands for...that is, if he ever tells you and stops flip-flopping every single position. Ryan failed because his views are inconsistent with Romney and for him to attempt to make them so, makes him look like a disingenuous dolt.

Re: Obama's Dilemma
The thread is intended to inquire Obama's strategy at the next debate, since the previous ones have failed.

There is just hostility because the new boy darling of the GOP Paul Ryan absolutely failed on multiple issues... and lied on Iran and Syria... and this time, Biden called him out on it.
Romney's solution is to raise military spending by $2 trillion, and cut taxes on the rich... yes... and he claims to be wanting to lower the deficit. Romney may have no foreign policy (he doesn't even have foreign policy ideas), but his economic record is disgusting... especially in Massachusetts.
There are actually two other debate threads... we don't need a third one with no sources.

LOL - gall much?
there are MANY threads - most around a single theme as in Mitt sucks this or that
pretty sure posters can create threads w/o passing your litmus test
as for the debate dilemma i concur
obama's porridge was too cold
biden's too hot
neither was just right
he needs to get his shit together but fast - and perhaps he will
the beauty for him is that media creates the narrative
pre vp debate, they downplayed biden so much that his erratic and didn't take his meds performance was characterized as "joe being joe" and "passionate" vs. outrageously obnoxious
whatever
and now it's like the whole narrative is well obama isn't really a great debater ......... etc.
my take is obama will do the following:
47% up the whazoo ........ you'll hear it 1/2 dozen times
romney = bush redux
tax rates for romney = 2x regular folks
he'll just attack
cause his record sucks and there's nothing he can say other than i killed bin laden
can't wait for him to explain the spontaneous video reaction and his view performance (we're not sure yet)
LOL

Re: Obama's Dilemma
And Romney's porridge was full of laxatives... at first it'll taste good (for those who believe it)... and then later one will pay for buying into it. Biden struck the right message with the right delivery.
