To Right-Wingers: What Do You Actually Think of Obama?

I post this because I'm tired of reading unhinged opinions that keep implying things about the president without right out saying them. This isn't uniform - some posters have actually shared their opinions of Obama, his intentions and his policies, but to read some people's posts, the guy is a deranged America-hating terrorist who not only can't do anything right, but has the utmost desire to always do everything wrong out of some Muslim Marxist Dictatorship spite.

It is easy to get carried away with repeating talking points, but if you take a moment (and a deep breath) and then take a step back and see what all of those actually amount to, it's just ridiculous. Nobody is THAT evil, THAT incompetent and THAT wrong. It's a caricature that's painted in completely unrealistic strokes.

So I want some direct opinions, not hiding behind fake and out-of-context "news". Not interested whether the FBI got to Libya a week, two or ten after the embassy incidents. I just want your overall opinion about the first term of the President and what do you think of him as a person.

Every time I create a thread and it ends in disaster, they only prove their inadequacy The ball is always in their court and they never fail to put a knife to it and run away crying. I don't care. Ranting without comprehending is unattractive. I know they don't like him. I wanted to see if any of them will have the balls to actually give a full description of how they view him, and if it would match the picture they paint of him with their countless accusations. Of course, they are all aware of how absurdly comical all of those seem when put together, so none of them dared to post here.

That is the problem Rolyo. No one as of yet in the last year has articulated a reason why they think the old tired policy the republicans have offered in the past would result in a different outcome.

I watched Bobcat Golthewaite? <-5 sp> the other night and he put it the best i have heard yet. It is as if we were all on a passenger jet (the entire nation) and we had a pilot that was steering us straight for the ground... we kept losing and losing altitude... finally a man steps up and says I can keep us from crashing and he does but barely. Now Bobcat goes on to say that we were headed for Disneyland and we landed in Kansas so all the passengers are pissed. I prefer to think of it as we have almost landed to where we are safe and we are considering putting the previous pilot back at the helm. It simply doesn't make sense.

IRT this thread?? None of the Romney supporters have anything credible to offer other than Obama bad and I didn't realize that republican policies of spend and cut taxes were to blame and I wanna try it again.

The attempts of the right to explain Romney look a bit like this:



1. Continue with a easing in the monetary policy
2. Revamped the ineffective refi program to make it more effective and therefore useful to banks to refi homeowners who are paying their bills.
3. Keep programs that allow people to get education througha variety of means so that they can bring a worthwhile skill to the economy
4. Encourage and fund R&D growth in the alternative energy sector some of which will be lost cash flows just like the triplke and quadruple budgets in the military R&D over the last fifty years that resulted in most of our tech advantage.
5. Continue investing in space exploration which furthers science
6. Continue with endowments and research funds to keep discovery occurring here in the US.
7. Authorize Keystone once it meets it's environmental hurdles put there by republican governors concerned about where the pipe was routed.
8. Continue the smallest effective corporate tax rate in 50 years
9. Continue exploring for more fossil fuels in America than has ever occurred in Americas history.
10. Work with employee and workers unions to keep a good paycheck for a good job.
11. Save Social Security and keep it off the marketplace where it would have failed already
12. Ditto for medicare.
13. Continue the roll out of Obama-care which is the health legislation that alluded most politicians for 50 years prior.
14. Continue the roll out of Dodd-Frank measures to ensure wall street plays by some rules while trying to destroy America.
15. Ensure ALL Americans are treated equally regardless of sex, race, sexuality.....
16. Keep a balanced supreme court so this country isnt taken down the path of Iran with neo conservative mullahs ruling.

Result: Well trained and health insured workforce getting better and better for the future of America


Romney's plan:
Cut everything out and pray for better times.

Result Texas recovery where there are plenty of poverty level jobs.

Now your turn Jack see if you can name something Romney will actually do that isn't already planned.
