    Abu Hamza

Finally, after a decade or more of fighting extradition from the UK, Abu Hamza has been deported to the US. He's tried every court in the land and inevitably the European Court of Human Rights too. Finally, yesterday afternoon, the High Court dismissed a last ditch ruse to stay in the UK and Hamza has been bundled onto a flight to the US where he faces trial.

I hope you guys in the US are as pleased to be getting him as we are to see him go.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that the Queen had voiced concerns about the inability of authorities to arrest a man she felt must have broken UK laws.

The BBC's security correspondent Frank Gardner said the Queen spoke to the home secretary at the time and "was upset that her country and her subjects had been denigrated by this man who was using the country as a platform for his very violent views".

The BBC later made a statement saying the conversation between Frank Gardner and the Queen should have remained private and that it 'deeply regretted' the breach of confidence.

The BBC article starts out with the words "Radical Muslim" -- two words that Obama and Holder have not been able to utter.

I hope he sees justice here.

We finally managed to get him out, by hook or by crook.

Although we should really have kept him on for pantomime season, I could SO have seen him performing on stage as some sort of Arabic swashbuckling pirate.

    He'd scare the kids.

On a serious point, if it proves so legally difficult to remove a foreign national from the country when almost everybody agrees he should go, then there's something wrong with the law.

It appears that Hamza is now in a New York prison and may even have been made to remove his hooks in the interests of security.

On that decision, at least us Brits can say that we had no hand in it.

Maybe the government could trot him out for Halloween and recoup some of the cost of the whole business.

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

    Hopefully Assange is next.
