I didn't even think of Elijah Wood being gay until I saw him on MTVs "Punked". That pretty much confirmed it for me.

I'll add Harry Styles after his recent "relationship" with Taylor Swift the professional beard. And yes.. I think it's likely that this is a FAKE relationship because Harry looks awkward, uncomfortable, hell.. even miserable around her. He barely smiles or touch her.. fuck he doesn't even look at her half of the time. He doesn't look happy at all. I feel so bad for him. All of the articles of him sleeping with all these different women didn't work.. nobody believed it anymore, so management decided to set him up with Taylor. I'm convinced this is a bearding relationship set up by management.

If so they should have picked a more convincing beard. After all the questionably heterosexual men she's dated and broken up with in recent years, I think Liza Minnelli's the only girlfriend who'd be less effective in demonstrating one's interest in women.

I pretty much agree with this. I think they wanted more publicity for One Direction in The States.. and what better way to do that than to have Harry fucking Styles date a very famous singer? It's all for PR and publicity. But they didn't quite think it through because Taylor has only dated like two straight guys the last four years. This would actually make him seem more gay! And that isn't good, considering all the gay rumors swirling around him for the last year or so.

Nick Grimshaw (Harry's openly gay best buddy) and a few others in the UK press have already basically outed Harry a number of times...you just have to read between the lines of their humor.
Ask Ed Sheeran (Harry's other best buddy) about the dating Beard Swift, as he's been asked a number of times, and he clearly has the look on his face that it's total bullshit, like "if that's what you believe".
Their family members (Louis and Harry's) and a few of their former friends have also outed them (cleverly) on twitter. People just haven't picked up on it..or like in the ID thread here on JUB, they just totally deny it or don't want to see it. (But this is the board that thought Ricky Martin was still straight literally up to the week that he actually came out).

90210's Matt Lanter and his "fiance" are being quite a bit more public with their relationship now on twitter and instagram. Def putting it more on display.
But according to one of her tweets, she gets "so frustrated" over the rumors about her hubby...yes, because what does that say about you that you go looking them up...lol?

I have a sinking feeling Matt's situation isn't going to end well. The Ohio/Georgia, conservative/religious, jock upbringing seems to have created a perfect storm. I fought a lot of those same factors but refused to beard before coming out. Then again, I'm not a Hollywood prettyboy model/actor. I just feel really bad for him. He seems like a nice enough Midwestern boy at heart (not to mention stunningly beautiful). I could easily have seen myself being good friends with him at UGA (attended a similarly sized public university). Those are the types of guys I hung out with. I simply wish him long term happiness, but I seriously doubt he's going to find it on his current path.![]()

I know. Jaymi came out while he had the chance, if he had waited a while longer he probably wouldn't have been able come out. And btw.. Union J did get signed by Sony. But as far as I know they still haven't figured out who they want to manage them.
Yes! Pretty much this. I think with Matt it's not only about his career, like most closeted gay celebs in Hollywood, bearding up to get ahead, but with him it's more deep.. it's about his family upbringing and faith. I find it really sad. It's obvious that he's gay (or at the very least bi), but he's so deep in the closet, like he won't even admit it to himself. This won't end well.

I don't know if he is or not, and my gaydar is totally dysfunctional where he is concerned, but lawdie I want him ... Matt Czuchry from "The Good Wife" really drives me mad with lust. The first interview I saw of him, I felt that he might have been on the bi-side, but the next one he totally came across as comfortably straight.
Lol ... but who knows [for real] ... ha ha, he IS an actor!
Seann William Scott was supposed to get married last fall.At the premier of American Reunion,Seann said that he would get married to his girlfriend in the fall. But,nobody heard about Seann been married yet.
Could it be a charade?
Does Seann getting married was only to hide his homosexuality?
Is Seann William Scott gay?
Honestly, it's not just wishful thinking(not like I'd have a chance either way), but I really do think that despite the wife and kid, Eddie Cahill plays for our team. Or atleast on the weekends. Watching some of his earlier roles--especially the guest stints on "Friends", I really get "the vibe". In particular, a scene with David Schwimmer really made me say "Hmmm". Even before that--and maybe this IS just wishful thinking, but I've always had my suspicions about the bromance with him and his equally hot CSI NY co-star Carmine Giovinazzo.

so true.....the good wife/ and cbs sunday night/ is my favorite show...very well written and acted...........................i've heard gossip around town that, matt is gay...but, i have to say no hard facts, yet....he strikes me as gay....his performance seems a bit stiff, too-too....just to butch him up....and his pursed lipped smirk, it's become his unconscious trademark, is so prissy/ to be honest, conversley ,so is alan cummming's smirk/......but, i'm no expert....
however, in the new storyline with nathan lane, i thought there was a direction in which, matt's character was warming to nathan's in a way, which would have his character, declaring his gayness......
....the show is actually, really straight arrow....a bit of a throwback ,to the closet days...a happily heterosexual world...../ even possible gayness, when approached, is met with, politically correctness....their bi-ness is different/..............or the writers are afraid of fully-rounded gay characters....maybe the producers, athough, jewish, are at heart waspy right wing religious types.....................they've tried to sex up the show...for the naughty straight characters/ shit, even the grandmother has gotten all hot and involved with her male attendant/...but....it's all turned storyline...not really believable.......
..the male writer/producer a mr. king, has expressed that the character ,kalinda, is a fantasy for him...........a little kinky there mr. king................the character is an amazing woman......strong, a bisexual, into bondage ..a fuck puppet with the guys.......butch with the ladies, and fast with a gun..........his fantasy cartoon blow up doll.....but the actress has tricked him....she's no cardboard bi.....she fills her character up with so much humanity, real emotion, life.....she's amazing..........
but, back to matt, if you are reading...i live in LA...please stop by for a drink and some nosh....haha....
Chace Crawford
Zac Efron
JC Chasez
Joe Jonas
Zayn Malik
Colton Haynes
Tim Tebow too. Typical self-hating pseudo-religious guy who probably really wants it up the ass.
After Taylor Lautner's latest pathetic attempt at bearding, I'd add him to the list
I like Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, Chace Crawford, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, Kris Allen, Armie Hammer, Teddy Sears, Jon Kortajarena
i think i'd scratch Zayn off this list. i really don't get a gay vibe from him. besides there was a vid somewhere where he tried to score some pussy while at a hotel in the hallway where his room was.
as much as i've devoted my life to loving Taylor, I think it's funny when they refer to this current chick (Lakers cheerleader) as his "on-again off-again girlfriend"...it's just too funny...

"If you can't say something nice, say something clever but devastating!!"
Is she on again whenever there are paparazzi around?![]()
we know 1 thing she never on again off again- Taylor's penis!
Add John Cusak to the list.. In his early days as an actor John Cusak and Kevin Spacey were roommates.
well- you can room with a str8 guy- I did- apartment in my freshman year- trust me, he was str8- I would have tried!

Someone who was supposedly an actor in Hollywierd was asked what percentage of actors were gay. He guessed about 20%. He then added "but if you asked me how many actors will fool around with another guy, I'd say most of them."
espcially if the other guy is a casting director, agent, etc.....
20% seems awfully low based on the theatre departments I saw in high school and college.
Exactly. I think it' much more than 20 %. You have to remember what kind of guys usually go into acting, A LOT of them are gay, so it's natural to assume that a lot of them end up in Hollywood too. There's not many openly gay actors in Hollywood, which probably means that most of them are in the closet.
I like Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, Chace Crawford, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, Kris Allen, Armie Hammer, Teddy Sears, Jon Kortajarena
The assumption is just that, an assumption. Many of the many who pursue forms of entertainment in New York or Los Angeles do not come from theatrical backgrounds. For example, some may have been Bankers, Lawyers, Athletes, etc. It does not translate, unfortunately. You're assuming that most artists are gay, most artists find their way to the entertainment centers and most artists dominate the entertainment business.
I'm just assuming that the proportion of people I've met whose primary interest was in acting that turned out to be gay would probably resemble the proportion of actors who actually developed careers that would also turn out to be gay. You're assuming that most artists are gay, most artists find their way to the entertainment centers and most artists dominate the entertainment business.
I agree that there is a lot of wishful thinking in many of these. Here is what I believe to be true as gays. Anyone can have bi moments...
Cole Sprouse
David Archuletta
Ricky Ulman
That is all I can say without edit and without any wishful thinking added in.
Where's that video of Zayn? haha
Lady Gaga.
I put special emphasis on all the areas that should be examined more closely. Again, it's still an assumption. While I am not saying that there are not gay or bisexual men in the business, and some of them have risen to success, the entertainment business does not equate to your personal experience with people in theater. As I said before, many actors as well as others who pursue careers in front of the camera are coming from theatrical backgrounds. All people in the business are not necessarily creative, experimental types that are associated with that area.
Some just fell into the business or some pursue it for other reasons that have nothing to do with having a creative background or passion for the arts. So, even if you're hypothesis had a strong basis, it would still be inaccurate for those aforementioned reasons. Personally, most actors I've met are not gay...or they would not openly admit it.
OMG You are so annoying. Most gay men I've talked to, who actually live in Hollywood say that there's A LOT of gay closeted celebs in Hollywood. I really don't see how this is so hard to understand. Acting is a typical gay profession. The fact that some gay people refuse to even admit this is baffling. I think there's a lot of self hating gays out there. Then again..we all know guys are less attractive as soon as they come out. I'm sure most gays want their straight j/o fantasy intact. Because straight men are obviously so much hotter.. sigh.
On the other hand.. I don't really understand why you're in this thread if you think most actors are straight, which is fine. But you must understand that people in here don't care about your objections, because we want to discuss actors being gay. So if you don't like it, why don't you just ignore this thread? There's hundreds of actors that I don't care about and you don't see me going into those threads to say "ewww, why do you like him, he's so ugly". I cannot stand trolls who just derail threads all the time. Fine, you think most actors are straight, we get it. Now please leave us alone to discuss possible gay celebrities, which is what the thread is for.
I like Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, Chace Crawford, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, Kris Allen, Armie Hammer, Teddy Sears, Jon Kortajarena
I actually stay in L.A. as well. Again, relying on stereotypes is not the same as facts, so your mentioning that acting is a gay profession is not proof and it does not mean it is accurate. I never once mentioned anything about a fantasy or desire to perceive actors as straight, so your point is irrelevant to this discussion. I have, and have had, plenty of friends and associates who are actors as well as other forms of entertainers or artists. As far as I know, the majority of them have professed heterosexuality or they have not given enough evidence to show that they're interested in men. Again, everyone who pursues entertainment, male or female, does not come from some sort of theatrical background or any kind of interest in theater, which was the basis of the stereotype. For example, I have had guys I knew who chose music or acting because it would get them laid. Should I watch them closer for gay tendencies since they are pursuing the profession?
I'm in this thread because I can be in this thread and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my statements. I did not personally attack anyone and I simply stated my observations from being in Los Angeles. I'm not saying that what I say is the absolute truth. However, I am trying to offer a more balanced, non-stereotypical perspective. If anything, most of the people to whom I talk and I've encountered, many of the gay men tend to have behind-the-scenes jobs. This is not saying that there are no gay or bisexual men who are in front of the camera or that they are not visible.
I fail to see how your personal experiences of actors you've met not being gay are any more valid or representative than mine of a good proportion of them being so are. What's your hypothesis, that somehow only the straight men who pursue an acting career go on to success and the gay ones are culled out? The rising tide of coming out announcements now that negative consequences are lessening strikes me as a good indication of the true state of affairs.
Another fact that bolsters your position is the large number of major celebrities from the past who are now revealed to have been gay. In the 50's, I'll bet if you said that Tab Hunter, Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, James Dean, Nureyev, Rock Hudson etc. were gay or bi, you would have been laughed at. Everybody would have said it was wishful thinking. (I could use some help here from guys who were around then)

Ugh. I just Googled to see if Matt had gone as far as choosing a wedding date. Unfortunately I can't post a pic or even link to the article due to the Matt Rule, but his fiancee looks frightening. She probably keeps his dick under lock & key, only lending it back to him when he needs to pee.
"I'm along for the ride." I'm sure you are, Matt, I'm sure you are. Google 'Matt Lanter wedding date' & click the first article (US Weekly). Scary stuff.
Twinkies...it's what's on the inside that counts!
Please read my statements again. I never once said that only straight men become successful in the business. I've heard of rumors of alleged heterosexual actors and I know of one famous heterosexual musician who are not exactly the image they project (these people would be considered at the top or close to the top).
What I am saying is trying to assume that actors are gay, bisexual, or straight based off a stereotype does not lend to any credibility. For example, all or most doctors are snobbish and arrogant because of their experiences going through medical school. In addition, what I am trying to say is that if you really wanted to cling to that belief, how do you explain all the people who pursue entertainment (or just acting specifically) who did not and do not come from theater? Would that belief still apply?
Tom Hady
Daniel Craig
I think he said Fall 2013 was the date.
You should see the kind of super fundie Christian stuff she follows on twitter (NOT exactly gay-friendly stuff). Hardcore evangelical midwestern type...
Also, Matt seems to now only hang with his other Christian friends (for the most part) that all go to this certain church in Hollywood (that Chelsea Lately's Ryan and E news' Jason Kennedy, Dez Duron, etc.)...compared to his earlier, unknown Hollywood days when he was seen and photographed with, shall we say, a very different circle of friends. Interesting...
And look into his background, family, etc...

Got a weird feeling Javier Bardem is gay or bisexual
Seann William Scott ends engagement with Victoria’s Secret model Lindsay Frimodt
There's your answer to that...
