Last I heard, she was still a prisoner in the Tower of London, in the same cell where Edward V and his brother Richard, Duke of York were murdered in 1483.

Diana, Elvis, JFK (Sr and Jr), Jackie etc all belong to the 'famous dead club' and will be remembered for generations to come...'largely forgotten' simply doesn't apply. And they're very much 'alive' when their photos continue to appear in celebrity/fashion magazines.

Celebrated and alive are very different.

President Lincoln is appears much and still influences many dimensions when his words are invoked. That said, being "alive" is much more than having effect or influence -- it is also interactive and experiential. It is indeed proper to give the dead their due, but dead they remain.

I heard that the families of these 'famous dead' people own the copyright and can charge people to reproduce their likeness after death

^That story is interesting, but I don't believe it.

The death of Princess Diana was unusual. I don't know, but tend to believe that she was murdured by Scotland Yard, or a rogue element of Scotland Yard, because she was going to marry a Moslem and the two princes, William and Harry, could not have a Moslem half brother or sister. She may have already been expecting when she was murdured. But this is just speculation on my part.

It is almost fucking hilarious....I can just imagine some dumbfuck kid handing in a research essay in high school based on this crazy shit.

But at the end of the day, it is just another delusional anti-semitic conspiracy theorist determined to 'prove' that the Jews control the entire world through the Rothschilds.

I think the best part though was that Bill Clinton is the illegitimate child of Winston Churchill.

Doubt that is true stateside. Someone could own the actual photographs of their famous family members, and derive royalties from their reproduction and sale, but here in the U.S., you certainly cannot demand payment for the publishing of an image which you do not own as photographs.

The animated version of folks like Colonel Sanders may be a different matter.
