Did anyone else notice a whole lot of flirting between Carter and Abi at the Ponderosa video? Kiiiiinda weird.

No what im talking about is
Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
malcolm will be back for next season, its a fans vs favorites again, and they wont invite a winner back into that mix, last time they didnt, and the cast of favorites they picked for next season all lost, phil shepard form redemption island is in it, but lost. the only times winners come back is during all star seasons.
SO glad Denise won, Abi actually acquitted herself nicely on the reunion, and WHY were my two favorite guys this season (Penner and Malcolm) such DOUCHE NOZZLES at the Final TC?
slipintothefog must be thrilled Lisa won Player of the Season and I have to say, even though I was rooting for Denise to win the game, Lisa clearly was the star of the season, and I'm shocked/happy that America actually got that vote right.
Im so glad Denise won
the spoiler was not true
but the top 4 spoiler was true
and I cant stand at Dawson
kissing Jeff!!!
Has it been revealed who in the jury voted for who? At the reunion Skupin was sitting next to Denise so I assume he got second and Lisa got third? That honestly kind of shocks me. I honestly didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to vote Skupin (since he did NOTHING). I thought the vote would be a lot closer between Lisa and Denise.
the vote was 6-1-1, so lisa and mike got joint second place, carter voted for mike, and RC voted for lisa, everyone else voted for denise. i was surprised, i really wanted her to win, and after the bitter ass final tribal i thought no one would vote for her. but i guess they didnt like lisa's game play, and mike just following everyone else.
this reunion was better than most as everyone at least had a question or sound bite. and i cant belive RC is still sooooo bitter 6 months after the show ended lol.
i also loved jeffs question asking malcolm if he would play again, when everyone knows that fans vs favorites with malcolm has already been filmed and ended.
Why was Malcolm so bitter about Denise "turning on him," when he was doing the same to her?
Carter voted for Skupin, RC voted for Lisa and EVERYONE ELSE voted for Denise. That means even though Malcolm and Penner were douchey to her at the final TC, they still voted for her. Perhaps most shockingly ABI voted for Denise! Wow. I thought for sure that was the one vote she would never get. I guess that apology at final TC must've really worked. I had assumed Abi would vote for Lisa by default.
I thought Denise deserved it. Lisa & Skupin had their chances to win it but strategically they sucked. Lisa was aware of the killer instinct of the game but her Christianity got in the way.
If you're gonna lie about your age at least do it convincingly!
For a LONG time, Survivor would only anoint female winners who fit the following types: maternal (Tina) sexy (Jenna/Danni/Parvati) or non-threatening (Vecepia/Amber/Sandra/Natalie). You couldn't be a strong, athletic woman and win on this show, either because those types were poorly represented or vilified.
Now all of a sudden we've gotten Sophie, Kim and Denise back to back? I couldn't be more pleased (and conversely, Probst couldn't be more pissed...which just pleases me even more).
I think the reason Lisa won fan fav over Malcolm was her screen time. She got far more dr sessions than anyone else and always came off as a confused Christian not knowing if what she was doing was right or wrong, always conflicted and not really taking the big step even though she kept saying she had to make a big move. I didn't see that she ever did.
I understand Malcolm being upset at tribal because he had just been booted and didn't have a few days to simmer down like Penner should have done. I know the final 5 were all afraid of Malcolm and they should have been - but truthfully when Jeff asked for a show of hands on who would have voted for Malcolm didn't hold up for me because I believe they would have voted for him in the final 3. The guy was an immaculate player, one of my all time favorites.
I think you mistake me for someone who cares.
I notice a lot of posts from 12/17. I could not get onto this site at all on the 16th and 17th.

And a last word about Malcolm even though Sgt. Pepper was losing his clothes every Wed. night over him - what an incredibly hot man, and not only his looks but his personality and his inner beauty in working with kids. Love the guy.
I think you mistake me for someone who cares.
Penner at FTC was really disappointing to me but I'm glad Lisa handled him with tact. And honestly I'm surprised she beat Malcolm for fan fave - confessional counts up to the finale on Sucks showed that Lisa and Malcolm's edits were equally big, and Malcolm is an attractive young man who is good at challenges, which is like the stereotypical fan fave winner. Glad she won it though because she's adorable, shaped the season and it seems like she really changed from being on Survivor after escaping her marriage to a hardcore conservative Christian.
Sidenote: I think that Denise is now the oldest woman to win Survivor. Before her, it was Tina, who played when she was 39 and won when she was 40. Crazy.
Denise won... I wanted Lisa to win but oh well! Nice season all in all! Survivor has been a great show to watch this season for me.
Edit >> Glad Lisa won the fan award though![]()
Remembering Malcolm...

Just curious, were you rooting for Colby out of that F2? Cuz even though he's the Probst-approved contender I usually loathe, I found him harmless and utterly likable (it didn't hurt that he was HAWT back then -- he was one of the shirtless TV men who helped me figure out I was gay). For me, Colby on Survivor was like Janelle on BB. Neither of them had any game whatsoever but I rooted for them.
Australia was probably one of the seasons that I was least invested in as it aired live. I lost interest a LOT after the merge but if I recall correctly I was rooting for Elisabitch Hasselback for the second half of the season because Colleen was my favorite of Borneo and Elisabeth filled the same cute sweetheart role. When I rewatched Australia in 2009 I honestly hated the self-righteousness of Tina's entire alliance and liked Jerri the most. Entertainment-wise, the season died once she got voted out because it proceeded to be Tina and Colby casually villainizing the people who didn't fit their ideal imagery of what a good person was, including Amber who was totally fluff at the time and Keith who couldn't be more of a middle of the road dude. I'm pretty sure that I saw the finale live and I think I preferred Tina winning out of that final two but rewatching it as an adult, the entire final four or five or Australia was a total wash to me.
Jerri's reputation as one of Survivor's biggest villains ever is so smoke and mirrors because at worst she was a bit annoying to other people but I liked that she played the role of the first Black Widow of Survivor and wouldn't have any problems cutting Colby's throat to get further in the game if it were necessary for her, although she never got the opportunity. A lot of women on Survivor and BB wouldn't do the same to their men and for that I really applaud Jerri. Tina, Colby, Elisabeth and Rodger were all really inert, boring people on their own and most of the entertainment of Australia came from most of them melting down everytime Jerri glanced at them from afar the wrong way and stuff like that. Actually, I kind of hate Tina to this day because she's still a moralizing shrew who hates on Jerri and Amber for not being good people. It's like, get over it already bitch.
Also the smug Denise face/shrug was by far the funniest thing about her:

I probably need to rewatch that season. Again, all my impressions are from its original airing when I was very young and very...impressionable?
I do remember hating Tina and loving Jerri (TOTALLY with you on everything you said about the first Black Widow) and I do know that subsequent Colby appearances -- and Probst's fawning over him -- made me question whether I'd still like him if I rewatched that season with my current sensibilities. I'm afraid he might be like Kaysar on BB i.e. someone I found attractive/likable during their season but who was revealed to be self-righteous and boring in retrospect.
I'm proud to say I never cared for that Hasselbeck thing.
I'm fairly sure that I hated Colby back in the day but over the years, as a Jerri enthusiast, I've come to appreciate Colby more due to their epic three-season rivalry (and I hate that Heroes vs. Villains kind of glossed over their reconciliation). I also find it interesting that Colby's become a worse and worse player with each time he's returned but Jerri's actually become a smarter and smarter player. She could have done well in All-Stars if Lex and Kathy weren't totally out of their minds to keep Amber over Jerri, and her Heroes vs. Villains game was pretty good IMO. Actually as much as I love Sandra, I kind of wish Jerri won the last immunity so she could have had a chance to get the win herself. Her winning HvV and getting a hero edit like Sandra did would have been mind-blowingly awesome considering she was so hated during Australia and got booed off the stage at the All-Stars reunion despite trying to play nice that season.
P.S. A lot of Colby's challenge dominance in Australia was pretty overstated, much like Janelle's in BBAS. Colby in the second half of the game was going up against a bunch of malnourished women and middle-aged men, and even then most of the challenges he won were not even physical in nature. That's probably why there's such disparity between Colby's performances in Australia vs. ASS/HvV.
Re: Australian Outback, I wasn't a Tina fan but it was jerri who made me appreciate Tina's game. Jerri said (in a confessional) something to the effect that "if Tina convinced Colby to take Tina and NOT Keith to the final, then all credit to her". That kind of influence (and loyalty) you still see 20+ seasons later with the likes of Denise and Kim (the previous champ). It's an underrated "Survivor" quality, IMHO. I just wish that future players realize that once you start feeling that way for another castaway that it was time to vote them out!!!
If you're gonna lie about your age at least do it convincingly!
Well I m glad of the outcome even tho I dont understand Abi voting for Denise ?? WTF ???
Also Skupin his better on the show than 6 months after
But Penner was A DILF a the reunion show
Re: Jerri and Tina. It's actually a Christmas miracle that Tina won Australia because she won 4-3, Jerri was the deciding vote and Tina still took multiple self-righteous jabs at Jerri during FTC including slamming Jerri during her own question. She REALLY lucked out that Jerri was bitter over Colby betraying their alliance that she wanted to vote against him in the end.
Australian was one of my fav seasons and yes I liked Colby and wanted him to win. I found him so easy on the eyes and not a sob like Keith. But that one thing that Tina did that impressed me was after the wash out when she swam in raging water to retrieve that barrel of food. That was awesome.
I still think Colby looks great although that gun show he is on makes me cringe for it seems all the contestants are backwoods gun nut cases.
I think you mistake me for someone who cares.
OMG. A Parvati/Sandra/Jerri finale would have been AWESOME and probably my favorite F3 ever. Unfortunately, that almost never would've happened and if Jerri had won immunity, Parvati would likely have been booted instead. Clearly these chicks all wanted to take Russell to the end cuz then they're essentially only competing against one other girl.

I disagree. The way I saw it was that Jerri's deciding factor was that Tina had so much influence over Colby that he threw away a million dollars just to show Tina his loyalty. That's deep and a sign of someone's strong social game.
What really bugs me about that season is that Amber had her chance to upend them: she could've banded with Nick, Rodger & Elisabeth to pick off Tina, Colby & Keith. So many missed (golden) opportunities in this game!!!
If you're gonna lie about your age at least do it convincingly!
If I'm not mistaken Denise is now the oldest woman winner and also the only winner who went to (and obviously survived) every T.C for their respective season.
Although it wasn't shown on the show, Amber DID try to do exactly that after Jerri got voted out. Rodger said that he was receptive to the idea but it was Elisabeth who didn't want to go with the counter alliance because she was under Tina's "good people need to win" Christian coalition spell. The problem also was that players in the early seasons were following the precedent of Borneo - you got into an alliance, didn't waiver from it and rode it to the end because that's what the Tagi 4 did, and flip flopping from Tagi is a reason why Kelly Wiglesworth lost against Rich. It took until Marquesas and Amazon for strategy to evolve beyond that.
Personally I viewed Tina's handling of Jerri at FTC as a reason why I don't buy the rumor that she was some off-camera mastermind. Risking the chance of losing the deciding vote just for one more chance at a self-righteous insult is not what a good player does at the jury stage. Ethan did the same thing in Africa - pre-FTC he said in a confessional that he thought the jury would be divided by gender with Brandon being thehe swing vote. He then proceeded to insult Brandon in his own question and lose his vote in the process. He was just lucky that he had predicted Teresa and Kelly's votes incorrectly or else he would have LOST because of it.
I liked Denise and Malcolm. Good for her.
I'm just so glad Blair Witch didn't win.
