It was satisfying to watch the Emmys tonight and be reminded that they didn't even nominate Jeff Probst for Best Reality Host this year. And the fact that his replacement in that category was a little old lady (Betty White) makes it even sweeter.

And this is actually the second time cookies functioned significantly (and hilariously) at Tribal Council. The first time was Cookiegate between Randy and Sugar on Gabon.

In other news, Malcolm? STILL hot.

Ha ha. Poor girl is just going to be ridicule for her cookie comment. I am glad that Roxie is gone. She was just an angry and bitter woman. Who cares if Malcolm and Angie are cuddling? She was acting like they were having sex right next to her. Focus on other things!!!

I had forgotten about Pete. Saw him in the challenge last night and thought "who is that guy, when did he get here?" He has had so little airtime. Need more.

You would think Penner's tribe would notice the big idol thingy missing from the top of the rice container.

Not much excitement in this episode. I am fairly certain the first shakeup comes next week already.

Roxie got on my nerves, too, but her response was justified: the players always take notice of pairs and either do something about it OR (stupidly) let them get far into the game.

His reaction wasn't that bad and I think Probst was pointing out that it was strategically a bad thing to do. People remember "stuff" like that.

Even Malcolm couldn't keep a str8 face with the cookie comment and rambled trying to make an explanation. It was a truly dumb answer. I think a lot more went on with Malcolm and Angie than we saw because he had some pretty roving hands which made me a little nervous. You never know when someone might be accused of impropriety. If Angie needed a man then she chose the right one but will it cost either of them coming up? It's out there and their tribe knows.

Roxy was annoying but I dare say edited to look that way.

No. Probst was taking it super serious like he always does because he believes this stupid game is some real life test of character rather than...just a stupid game. Her "cookies" retort stung him because she was basically trivializing the whole thing and Probst has deluded himself all these years into thinking Survivor is some important real life manly adventure.

Did you ever see "Eco-Challenge"? It was televised for 2 or 3 seasons on, I believe, Discovery Channel. That was a REAL, grueling outdoors competition that they happened to film (adventure racing, or expedition racing, is a real thing with or without TV cameras), as opposed to a TV show masquerading as an adventure. You had participants dropping like flies, vomiting their guts out, shitting their shorts from dysentery, etc. And it was all about the actual race, there was very little, if any, focus on typical "reality TV" bullshit drama (feuds, showmances, backstabbing, etc.). It was absolutely riveting to watch, and I've never been able to take "The Amazing Race" even remotely seriously since.

I was watching this episode with a group of friends and when angie said "cookies" the room went silent lol everyone was like, "did she really just say cookies" it was so out of left field. Poor Malcolm trying to defend her made himself look silly in the process, he's so hot though so i'll forgive him lol.

He really is an asshole. Normally at this point in the game I root for the underdog alliance in challenges, but I'm actually hoping Matsing will lose another immunity, just because I know Malcolm and Denise would vote his ass out.

Matsing and Tandang are making this season. As a 'tard for Penner this surprises me, but his tribe is an inert black hole of airtime, while the others have conflict, shifting dynamics and (most importantly) crazy women.

i have to give it to the producers, normally when there are more than 2 tribe they seem to dissolve by the second episode (cook islands/panama) and it looks like they are three tribes again. i think it will go kind of like last season.

they will keep the three tribe format for the next episode, bringing down to 14 people, and then they will tribe shuffle into 2 different tribes, and then they will be like that for two tribals, when they get to 12 they will merge, and it will go individual.

i think the tribe shuffle will be interesting cause ppl are gonna get screwed.

IMHO, I suspect producer intervention. Abi and Ben figuring out "the nose" reference seemed way too convenient. Also, it'll be interesting to see who gets burned by their handshake-- Jonathan or Jeff Kent.

The "condescending" comment probably comes from him ripping into the young blonde chick at tribal and making her cry. I can see why he did it, but it did come across as overly harsh, maybe just because he's a big muscular older guy and she's a petite young thing (with huge boobs).

    i know.

I really didnt see russel coming across that harsh. he didnt say things that were hateful. he said dthings pertaining to her not having enough life exzperience.

i guess because shes the ideal american dream and a big black is pointing fingers at her making it look like he is the big bad wolf.

    i disagree
that chick knew what she was doing. she played the cry me a river at council to get a sympathy vote but i could see a smirk on her face when voting.

also she LIEd. at trhe tribal challenge, when they were asking for someone to go and swim she CLEARLY SHOOK HER HEAD that she cant do it then later she told them after the challenge that she never said she couldnt go.

I really feel RUSSEL wasnt too harsh and he kinda held back until JEFF probst actually puxshed him saying did is what she is actually saying about you russel.

Russel satted facts about her. Point blank

her tears seem crodidile tears to me,.

it doesnt seem RUSSEL will make it far neither. He seems to be 2 to 1 right now.

Matsing are all obviously superstars (or at least leave a strong impression), but Tandang is amazing as well:
-Abi being a lunatic hag <3
-Pete stirring up shit just because <3
    -Skupin being a bumblefuck <3
    -Blair Warner being 2012's Kathy/Holly/Dawn <3
    -RC's glamorous hair <3
-Artis not stealing any screentime from the rest of these superior humans <3

And we've been set up for a gender war on Kalabaw after three episodes of immunity idol fuckery. Be still my heart.

  39. #89

    Re: Survivor 25: Philippines

Gotta give the editors props too for that slow mo shot of Artis missing the pot, then overturning it on swingback but not breaking it...and then it breaks, thereby crushing (pun intended) Matsing's hopes. Now THAT'S how you invest audience interest in a challenge.

So I assume Matsing will be merged next week somehow with the others? They can't have another tribal with just two people. Unless Probst starts casting votes.

It would be cool if there was no merge and if Matsing loses, Denise & Malcolm will face off in fire-making (like Stephenie & Bobby Jon). Probably won't happen since TPTB don't wanna lose their pretty boy.

Do you guys think Jeff Kent will be a medavaced next week? Not convinced since they haven't made ref to his leg since the first ep.

would be funny and ironic that jeff gets pulled from the game just like the 2 returnees. and also if he goes out then it would only be one more tribal and then merge at 12 since thats what they like doing now.

i would like to see another season like tocantins, regular 16 person/7 person jury/final 2. and i think its still one of the stronger seasons in terms of memorable characters and gameplay the 3 jalapo members getting to the final 4.

read some cast spoilers from next season, damn is all i have to say, im not sure what to think yet.

I hope they vote that Blair Witch off soon. I read from The Book of The Gay Agenda every time she's on screen to ward off her evil bigot juju.

    Blessed be.

Damn, Probst was a cunt to Katie and Abi at the challenge in tonight's episode.

Ha ha. I loved it. Dawson was dumb for not using Jeff's background, you could see that Jeff was nervous that she would say something.

    Love Malcolm still!
