90-minute season premiere is set for Wednesday, September 19th at 8:00 PM! The cast is going to be announced any day now and I want to make sure I've started the thread so I can bump it shamelessly when the cast is officially revealed.

Three returnees are coming in S25, and there's going to be three tribes again for the first time since All-Stars. It's pretty much accepted knowledge now that the three returnees are:

Premiere bump!

It is a ninety minute episode so I have a small amount of hope that we'll be introduced to most of the cast in the premiere. But I'm guessing that it will, of course, be dominated by Penner, Swan, Skupin, Whelchel and Kent because they're the "stars." Blonde lesbian to own Jeff Kent's homophobia right away plz.

I can't believe those kids on Skupin's tribe don't know who Lisa is. Abi, fine, since she's from Brazil. But I'm younger than the other chick and the same age as the younger guy, and I watched that shit every night when Nick at Nite played it.

What is with Survivor and making everyone wear color-coded clothes to match their tribe color these days? Since there's three tribes this season it's even more in-your-face than normal.

Jeff Kent contributed $15,000 to support the anti gay CA admendment, Prop 8...and Lisa Whelchel is notoriously anti gay- urging a mother who wrote in to her website afraid her son may be gay to contact Exodus Int to help turn him straight.

I hate to sound so naive but I think Lisa is just ignorant but not outright malicious. I don't think she hates gay people but she honestly seems to believe that homosexuality really is something that can be changed because "[she's] seen it happen" many times. That's the extent I've seen of her talking about the issue and that's not even a drop in the ocean compared to the things I've read about Jeff Kent.

The stupid people are emerging early.

Russell's "I'm no leader, nobody is leader" approach to becoming leader was painful to watch.
"Blair's" cheerful smiles aren't doing much to hide the fact that she is still Blair. And she seems mentally weak and totally unprepared; on the show for all the wrong reasons.

Probst said on "The Talk" that this will be a great season. Not convinced based on the first ep. Whelchel was on the same show and said to stay tuned, sharing that her Christianity will be tested (hence spoiling that she wouldn't be the first one out). Good to see Skupin back; not so much for Penner and Russell (they're both annoying). I just hope that they actually play the game as opposed to last season where they let Kim have her way.

I'm not surprised. "The Facts of Life" repeats only ran for a year on Nick At Nite (2000-2001) and the likes of RC and Pete were probably too busy downloading from Napster. Now if it was "Saved By The Bell", Lisa would've stood a better chance of being recognized.

I was pretty underwhelmed with the first episode... I will most likely continue to watch though... the only thing that stops me watching Survivor is having any of the Hantz' on it.

Russell Swan annoyed the shit out of me in this episode... I was annoyed with everything he said and did, so that will be fun to watch for an entire season >.>

Malcolm makes some good eye candy... I'll stick around for this season just to look at him

This show seems to delight in casting racists and homophobes and it just seems like...it's intentionally done to create drama. Which just skeevs me out. And Probst has said/done his fair share to add that problem.

The final four and winner for season 26 is already spoiled too. :/ It sucks that the three non-spoiled seasons we just had in a row also contained two of the most obvious winner edits of all time in Boston Rob and Kim. I think the final threes for this season and the next could have been interesting if only the entire internet hadn't been bombarded with massive spoilers already.

(Note to you concerned fans: Do not ask Jeff where the returning women are unless you want an earful of chauvinistic, ignorant, man babble.)

So, uh, I kind of love Parvati, guys. She seems to only get better with time.

(The note at the end was inspired by Parvati, Jenna Morasca and other Survivor women taking offense on Twitter over Jeff's comments that "men are more memorable than women" or thereabouts when he was asked why all of the returning players after HvV are men.)
