Ok, I just don't get this Clara Oswin/Oswin Oswald thing.
But I am looking forward to the 2012 Xmas special and the new companion.

Ok, so the whole carnivorous snow thing was pointless, and the human villain wasn't even explained well. Still, this xmas special was obviously more about introducing the new companion and it did that very well.
I am so happy that Clara and Oswin are linked in some mysterious way. The Woman Who Died Twice? Hell yes I am here for this story arc-- it sounds amazing!
Basically, I am really excited and impressed with Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion. She can really act and she has a ridiculous amount of chemistry with Matt Smith's Doctor. Their chemistry reminds me of Rose and Nine a lot, I dunno. The look in the Doctor's eyes as he gave Clara the TARDIS key...sigh. I cannot wait for the new episodes. It's been a long time since I've been super enthusiastic about a DW companion and DW. I am excited. ^_^
I thought i was gonna hate her based on the brashness of the Dalek episode, but so far, so good.
The episode itself was the usual xmas meh.
I liked the lesbian detective agency, and the one word scene.
Plus potato head was fun.

^ lol, yeah she is a different kind of brash. Not smug in the way River Song is-- I know that turns many people off.She just comes across as really confident, curious and adorable but never overbearing, like River could be at times because she knew so much about the Doctor. I love River but I can see why she turned people off a bit. Anyway, I have high hopes for Clara.
I, too, was happy to see the Vastra and Jenny again. I lol'd forever at "Good evening, I am a lizard from the dawn of time, and this is my wife." Perfect way to introduce yourself.![]()
About the new TARDIS interior, some people are complaining it's too dark and dull. But honestly, I love it.
The new opening credits are really pretty, as well.

And the next time trailer for 2013 for anyone who wants to watch it 5billion times like I have. -_-
I adore the new tardis interior. I think it looks friendly and very sci fi. Much better than the last one which was too chromey.
Gee Clara is going to be an awesome companion!
^ Matt Smith is in his 30s now and Tennant was in his 30s during his time as the Doctor. That is hardly close to being a teenager. And with Eccleston, he was in his early 40s. I think that's a pretty good age range for the part. Personally, I prefer it that way. More youthful and fun. I still want Matt Smith in the role, but when he regenerates it would be cool to have somebody like Julian Rhind-Tutt in the role. I think after Tennant, the Doctor became more of an unconventional sex symbol, tbh. So they will most likely keep picking actors who are attractive in a quirky way and who are fairly youthful.
I think I have reached the end of my tether with this particular iteration if Doctor Who. I no longer find Smith charming, don't like the new companion and not feeling the new stories at all. I will make an effort to watch the next episode written by Neil Gaiman and the 50th anniversary episode but that's it, I think. Sad.
For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
^ Yeah, that sucks. I think a lot of people go through something similar if they aren't particularly feeling a certain incarnation of the Doctor or a companion. But the cool thing about DW is that you can just take a long ass break from it and just jump right back in without feeling like you're totally out of the loop when the actors change or something that excites you gets introduced into the mix. Personally, when I get that way, I just watch a few episodes here and there casually just to see if I can get my enthusiasm for the show back. It tends to work, because I always find something I like in the end.
Pretty decent opening show to the new season.
I quite like the new companion, just hope the whole series isn't going to be about the mystery of who she is, had enough of that with River Song.
Celia Imrie was great on the show, and Matt was looking better than ever once he got rid of the monk hairdo.

One more this weekend, then the 50th in November & the Christmas Special.
Can not wait to see what comes of River's Gravestone and where things go with the next incarnation.

I am just not enjoying this show anymore. I don't like the Clara Oswin character. I didn't even like the Neil Gaiman episode.
I reckon I'll just watch the 50th special episode and that'll be it for me and this series, I think.
Such a shame. I so very much enjoyed the show before.

I also look forward to Saturdays.
We already know how to die river so that it can not be his real tomb. Spoiler!
If I'm not mistaken Matt confirmed to be present also in the eighth season so we will not see very soon a new doctor.
I so far have loved every episode, some more some less.
The character of Clara looks cute, all the characters who stand up to the doctor are beautiful. In addition there is the mystery to be discovered in a trailer even if I heard clara say
