Most studio's no. However you do have studio's that likely do have a lot of HIV positive men, i.e the one's Jeff Palmer is a part of.
Most other studio's likely check their actors and do fast action antigen test prior to most scenes.

I would say yes.I have seen their profiles in barebackrt and they way they are positive. what they do in their private life may be different than screen. I have met a few who do bb for clients.

From what I understand, some studios (both gay and straight) do test their models and encourage regular testing for HIV.
I do not think that there is an adult industry standard.
Perhaps those involved in the industry can jump in and answer this better.

It's interesting that when straight porn performers test positive for serious STD it makes national news "porn industry shut down." I can't recall if media gives same amount of attention if gay porn performer tests positive for something.

Okay, so let's be honest here for a second! Do I think a lot of gays in the porn industry are or could be HIV positive? NO! Do I feel there a trend going on which causes a lot of these gay, straight, and bisexual men and woman to put themselves at risk? YES!!!

When I was 24 years old and just out of college I had student loans up the ass and had to find a way to make some quick, hard earn cash in order to pay them off or at least get them down to a reasonable amount. The jobs weren't out there and no I didn't turn to porn to make a quick buck, but I did get a job at a local bathhouse that catered to gay and bisexual men. Could I have gotten a normal job? Yes if I wanted to make $7.50-$9.00 dollars an hour, but this place was willing to pay me $16.00 dollars an hour to simply have men fill out a form, take their money, give them a key and a towel, and send them on their way to do god knows whatever!

Now as someone who swore not to give out secrets I kept my mouth shut for years while working there and never said a thing about what I saw people do in their private lives.

Now that I no longer work there I must admit that I saw and checked in a lot of new, formal, old, young, black, Latino, White, Asian, straight, gay, and bi guys who did porn who came to this place simply to have bareback sex, participate in prostitution, sell and buy drugs, and all kind of other shit that I'm sure and maybe I'm wrong never went down on the sets where these guys did porn. In my opinion it's not the porn industry that's the problem it the guys who do the porn and what they do in their personal live that's the problem.

I've called the police on many of these guys that we all jerk off too day and night and wish we were a part of their lives or had them as a boyfriend nightly when working at this bathhouse. Trust me when I say most of these guys aren't who you think they are. A lot of them are drug attacks, guys who like to party and drink, guys who actually think they're a star and feel it gives them the right to be assholes, guys who were bullied once and now are looked up too, and guys who're simply down on their luck! You get the picture...Anyway after working in this bathhouse for 3 years and seeing a lot of the shit that went on their I can assure you I left this place never watching porn again or ever looking at a a guy who did porn the same way.

Oh and yes! Let's say out of 100 guys who once or is currently doing porn today...I'd say 60% of them are either crazy, suffer from mental illness, have a drinking problem, are a hustler, a lying sack of shit, a major diva, an asshole, a drug attack, and yes are HIV positive from shit they do in their personal life and not within the porn industry.
