The judges this year are really boring. The talent for the most part has been underwhelming. I almost stopped watching.

Then Lazaro Arbos happened! He is so cute, so hot, so awesome! He is the hot latino with the severe stutter. His story was hearbreaking... watching him struggle to communicate with those assholes on group night was tough. He seems like such a sweet guy! And he's smoking hot! And man, can that kid sing! Don't even get me started on him picking my favorite song by my favorite male artist! Angels by Robbie Williams!

I love this guy. I hope he makes it far.

I love Lazaro, too!! He's so talented and very sexy! I felt like the judges' facial expressions when he was talking to them were really mean. But that boy is one tough cookie. He sang the hell outta that song! I'm happy he made it through!!

I agree, but she has definitely been diva-ing it up during the auditions. Though, she is a quiet diva, but it's definitely there. And yeah, as much as I dislike her music, Nicki's criticism is on par with some of the things vet's should be saying.

Call me skeptical, but I wont be surprised if Angela Miller had previous experience or there is a controversy about her later. As Nicki said that song could have been a top 40. Amatuer singers cant be that good

The simple answer is that I've been behind all season. The producers probably wish they could just make the entire top 12 female. But then the winner would probably just go "surprise!" and whip out her dick after being crowned the winner. (It's kind of annoying that they group Jada in with the guys, by the way, but that's Idol for you.)

For sure. I've been barely paying attention to the contestants this season (since Nicki Minaj is a spotlight stealing ho <3), but I did notice how Randy made sure to say "Wow. Wow. Wow!" approximately six hundred times while that girl was singing her original song in the last episode.

Yeah they really didn't explain it well, but I think they're doing 10 girls and 10 guys this week (and eliminating half of each) and then the same thing next week (which is when Lazarro and Candice should be performing). That will leave us with 10 guys and 10 girls in total which...not sure what they're going to do from there since the most they've ever done for the Big Stage portion was...what 13 contestants?

LOL could they make it any more obvious that they want a girl to win? They basically stacked the guys with sub-par singers and tonight they eliminated anyone who could potentially get the swoon vote (Johnny Keyser) while keeping guys who are forgettable enough to be eliminated before any of the girls. I think their one miscalculation though is Charlie, who I can't stand but who is sure to be a VFTW magnet which will keep him around longer than they anticipate.

Tonight with the guys was one of the strangest Idol shows ever. And they take that Latin Bieber over guys that are far more talented just because Nicki wants to have his babies. And obviously a performer who is just like the one like him last season, the gospel singer. And Charlie who was vocally all over the place makes it and Jda didn't who gave a vocal performance and a stage show that was just great. WTF? Are they that hard up for a female winner?

Good lord, this season is full of mediocre and boring singers. At least Jda brought some flair and fierceness to the show, but he was more focused on putting on a show than getting his vocals right.

Charlie was amazing. Not many people can pull off the high parts of Rocket Man ("I'm gonna be hiiiiiiiiiigh as a kite by then") without fucking it up.

My main problem is mostly with the guys that sang country - they were obviously kissing Keith Urban's ass by choosing his songs. Too bad for those guys that they were blander than tofu and almost as talented.

If it weren't for Nicki, the show would be a snoozefest. I'm not a big fan nor a hater of Nicki, but unlike the other judges, she doesn't hold back or water down her criticisms. I just wish the show didn't have to rely on the manufactured rivalry between her and Mariah. I'm sick of the assumption that two women in the same business can't be within ten feet of each other without being catty or fighting.

I agree 100%. I don't care for Nicki either, but as a judge, she's great. She knows how to put thoughts into words. She knows the right things to say about the performance. I also like that she says what's on her mind. I still don't think she's qualified to be a judge seeing as she isn't a singer, but if you would combine her critique and put it on Mariah, it would be the perfect package. Mariah has the stardom and voice to back up her qualifications for being a judge. JLO last year had no business in it either.

I always get the feeling that Mariah's chair is higher than everyone elses. She looks like she is a head higher than Randy.

I like Nicki's judgments sometimes. She gets a little too personal with some of the guys, obviously loves cross dressers, and wants to have an 18 year old's babies. I was surprised they didn't bleep that out.

While I like Charlie I think his Rocket Man was mediocre and his notes were all over the place. Glad he made it for another day but I don't know if he can last with the judges pushing pussy at us constantly.

Isn't it hilarious though how much the show has to gerrymander the competition just to get a girl winner? Filling up the guys' pen with a mix of mediocre singers/non-white/non-cute guys, eliminating any guy who could even remotely inspire a twitch in twee girls and cougars alike, and of course sending through Zoanette as Worster bait to make sure their vote is "wasted" on a girl who can be eliminated later. If they're going to do all that, they might as well just switch up each year with an All Guys/All Girls season.

Lazaro is def cute and not untalented, but his performance this week was just terrible. And if he wasn't a likable guy with a stutter, he would've been called out on it (and possibly eliminated).

I do however think the producers are potentially underestimating his ability to draw teen/cougar votes in the absence of a traditional male heartthrob. Wouldn't it be hilarious if after all this pimping and gerrymandering for a female winner, the winner ends up being Lazaro?
