Is there anything fun to do there?

In just Simi or LA.....
not much in Simi unless you want to go to the Regan library
You cant change the way the wind blow's, but you can change the angle of your sail to take you somewhere else!!
Going to L.A.? Condolences on that...
I went to LA back in the spring... Simi Valley was beautifultook a drive up to the Reagan Library; it was a cool visit, although significantly more white-washed than the Nixon Library. Air Force One was neat, though.
the only thing I wish I had done was schedule a studio tour in Hollywood. I probably also would have gone to Disneyland if I was there with friends instead of my mom.

simi valley??? ewwww and ...ewww...cookie cutter subdivisions, endless fast food outlets/irrelevant half-empty strip malls left over from 1990's boom, mega traffic 24/7, snotty people who think they are something better than all the other trash communities surrounding simi, no industry/jobs to speak of, polluted, too hot at odd times of the year like in December, huge earthquake zone, brushfires galore, and 4,091 other less than positive things about it.
Enjoy.
The best thing will be when you leave. You'll feel better.
I am working on what form my JUB reincarnation will take...
Caleb, don't be discouraged by some to the nay-sayers here.
California is a wonderful place to visit, and Greater LA has a ton of things to see and do.
There is literally something there for everyone. And you do not have to spend a lot of money to see neat things. Some of the best things to see and do in LA are totally free!
Do your internet research ahead of time. Figure out the lay of the land, and where things are located. And plan to do several things per day that are in the same or close-by areas.
The Three Musketeers... Bashful, Chrisglass, and Ronboy!
thanks for all of the... advice guys. I plan on visiting the library and going to various famous LA sites and shopping areas, the water is fucking freezing atm so I'm hoping the weather heats up here
Never cease to find it strange
How at midnight things seem hopeless
But by dawn they've changed
I grew up in LA.
Visit Santa Monica pier. Same with Venice Beach. You won't regret it.
If you're a clubby person, West Hollywood - the self-proclaimed gay district, is ridden with clubs. Or just gay men walking around.
not really a club person, more of a sights kind of person
Have a blast, California can be loads of fun.
If you make it to West La have lunch/dinner at the abby it's a great place and food is really good..

Simi Valley is kinda close to the San Fernando Valley... it's all a suburban s**thole I have no kind words to describe. I hate that entire area. And asides from that good luck with the weather lmao... you'll need it. The only part that is slightly redeeming about the Valley is parts of North Hollywood which were being revitalized... other then that... yuck.
As far as sights, drive away from Simi, and don't even stop in the San Fernando Valley. Keep driving lol. Santa Monica, Hollywood, Redondo Beach... these are nice places. If you want some nice and quiet, Pointe Dume is where to go... that's in Malibu. Pointe Dume typically isn't crowded like other beaches in SoCal. It's really nice there. Be sure to stay away from republican areas (at least that's my suggestion)... avoid Orange County like the plague. Also be sure to check out the Observatory (Griffith park) and the Zoo which is nearby.
However, as far as these naysayers are concerned... I'm sure they haven't visited California in years. There are some VERY NICE places to go here, and some not so nice places. Just ignore the negativity spread by some. This state is fucking beautiful... well can be. If you want out of LA... places like Big Bear, Sonoma County, Joshua Tree (not during the SUMMER!) and Sequoia National Park... all beautiful.
Im wondering... are there any local market kind of places? where people sell their own wares?
