Little Monsters have short attention spans.
We have lost interest.
Little Monsters have short attention spans.

The latest album exploded the first week (helped somewhat by heavy discounting) but it didn't have the legs of the previous one. It sold respectably, but I'm certain that they were hoping for better.
The real question is "now what?" When shock is your schtick, how do you keep the audience shocked ,and thus entertained? You can keep pushing outwards, but when you start in the meat-dresses and wtf video realm, people may already be expecting the outlandish. You can try zagging instead of zigging - a country album? Opera? Gaga unplugged? - but there's less guarantee that her fans will follow. It'll be interesting seeing the next move.

Blah, she bores me =P all her songs sound the same.
Judas and Pokerface are amazing! But everything else is really dull =P
I wanna know what it'd be like, to find perfection in my pride, to see nothing in the light.
Y'all are a bunch of haters!!!
I have loved Gaga and have continued to love her, stay pressed!

Her music is alright in my book(favorite song is Hair). Her style is...debatable. Her message is about individuality, acceptance, and anti-bullying is great. I've no reason to lose interest in her or think negatively of herI'm not really a die hard, devout fan though.
Balls to the walls hella fuckin awesome.
Her last album did quite well in sales considering. But her concerts have sold out everytime. So this thread is baseless. Most money is made on tours and not on albums (especially after the record companies are done). Artists make very little off albums. Again, considering the source of this thread, I'll tell you the opposite is happening.
It's also funny the OP claims he has a lost interest when he probably never liked Gaga to begin with.
I'm not a die hard monster. But I can see her putting out another album soon enough (I hear one is in the works). She has a lot of appeal and will continue for years to come. She has staying power, unlike some other artists around right now.
I am offended by the notion that someone thinks that I actually care about what happens with Lady Gaga, or any of the other female "gay icons".![]()
The phenomenon is def not finished. It simply has less attention than in the past. Even at the most recent Grammy's, she didn't perform and Adele was the star. And GaGa seemed fine with it. I believe (I could be entirely wrong) that GaGa is working on a new album, so it seems as though she has less going on (unless she's on tour now?).
But it's mostly because she's recently in the media a LOT less that it seems she's "unpopular."
"Hate is temporary, Love is necessary."

I think a group like One Direction has also taken some of the spotlight, but regardless, Lady Gaga is far from finished even though some here would really hope. I just don't get the hate... and I'm not even that big of a fan.
Gaga has been doing less interviews, she did a big interview with Oprah and said that was it for a while, right now she is touring and performing to sold out crowds.![]()

So far her tour has grossed $43 million according to wikipedia... she's in Australia right now according to these dates, then will start her European leg of the tour in August. Amazing look at those days, Very little rest in between.
Yea guys... she's finishedLol.
Edit: My estimate is that after her American and European legs of the tour she'll make probably around $100+ million. Just a guess on my part. Maybe more even.
^ No, Cupid. My friends would laugh at me. I like men more than gaga-puppets.
I like some of her music, but I'm not a devout 'Monster."

No. I can't stand the way some gay men talk about these women as if all other gays actually gave a shit. This is not the Entertainment forum, why was this thread posted here? Answer: because for some fucked up reason, anything Lady Gaga is now always considered relevant to anyone even slightly homosexual. Same goes for Madonna and all the other ones.
That's why I feel the need to voice my opinion in these threads. Not all of us are pop culture lemmings.
Balls to the walls hella fuckin awesome.
She's not going anywhere for the time being and she ranked quite high on the music's top money earners for 2011 (income generated from your music alone). Her new album's follow up singles (after Born This Way) didn't do so well on radio. Some of them did peak in the top 10 of the Hot 100 but fell out shortly after. Her chart performance on the US market was still strong though, but she was bested (on charts) by Adele, Rihanna, and Katy Perry last year which is why she ranked #4 on the artist of the year list. Still, she remains a strong artist in other parts of the world, particularly in Asia.
At this point her tour has made enough money to guarantee her a few more albums at least. What she's basically trying to do is ensure her survival with imaginative videos and by keeping fans guessing and intrigued with consistent changes of personal image. It's the same thing Madonna & a few other singers have done which guarantees them interest every time they put out something new and guarantees ticket sales on every concert they do.
Well, if she's trying to shock people, she can try something like this: The MQ - Lady Gaga Steps Out In Sensible Cardigan, Fans Outraged
Please. It's dance music and fashion.
A lot of other artists stand up for gay rights, she just decided to get rich by making you think that she was the only one.
These artists didn't embrace the gay audience, the gay audience with their low standards embraced them and then they ran with it.
If it offends you so much, maybe you should voice your concern to the mods so they can move the thread to the appropriate forum.
And I like Gaga's music because I find it enjoyable to listen to. It's not because she's a gay icon. That's just a bonus.
Whether you like it or not, pop culture and fashion have an impact on our lives. You seem to think you are above the influence of them. However, on reflection, I suppose that makes sense since you seem to think highly of yourself and your taste.
Lady Copycat is a giant bore.
Probably cause Hot Topics is a general forum and most of the threads posted in here could be placed in any other forum.

I cannot imagine the little monsters above to be keen of GaGa from the start.
Nevertheless, she's still sellin' out, like it or not. There is still oil in her chandelier; we just don't know how much remains.
Any life amounts to no more than one drop in the limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean but a multitude of drops?
I thought her brand was The Monster That Devoured itself.

Like, will Germanotta be doing the Lounge Acts at Las Vegas in 2025?
Isn't that James Dean and Marlon Brando in your avatar? Last time I checked they are pop culture icons, I happen to love them btw, I even complimented you on the avatar, I've complimented you other times too, guess you haven't responded to me because I am a fan of pop culture and you think I'm stupid, what a shame, just because I, along with many other people, enjoy pop music it doesn't mean I am less intelligent than you, IN FACT, the OP just said that little monsters are losing interest in Gaga, so your response makes no fucking sense at all.
Who's the lemming now?![]()
"Live your dream and never wake up." - Liam Payne
That's the pointGaga was overexposed. Lying low and disappearing is the plan. That's why she didn't walk the red carpet during The Grammy's and it is why she isn't doing any North American press. Meanwhile, she's kicked off her world tour - which is seeing numbers only acts like Madonna and Cher have seen. By the end of the tour, Gaga will likely have the 2nd most successful tour by a female act of all time. Her Born This Way album may not have been the monster her previous album was, but her fans are always expanding - proven by her ruling of social media.
In the meantime, light your candle wicks and get on your knees. Gaga's new single/album is coming and you should repent before you die

I have nothing against pop culture at all, my pop culture lemmings comment referred to people who buy into the hype of really commercial artists who only exist for the purpose of making money. I believe Lady Gaga is talented, but she's a music industry pawn and she doesn't even realize it, and I hate how her success further underlines that gay acceptance comes at the price of us being good consumers, just like the main reason for why Pride festivals have become so popular - they're economically lucrative.
I'm not completely cynical though, I realize that Lady Gaga's message of gay acceptance and the focus that Pride puts on human rights are positive things that will bear good fruit, but it does at the same time make me feel like initiatives to further gay rights are only worth as much as the amount of money you're willing to spend.
But I'm sorry that I sometimes don't reply to compliments. Usually after I post a picture somewhere I quickly close the thread and tend not to look at it for a few days because I am shy and embarrassed, so in that way I realize that I might miss a lot of what people have to say, but I don't ignore anyone on purpose.
My only argument to the above is that I think Lady Gaga is very much a willing participant in (as Malcolm McLaren used to call it) "the rock and roll swindle". I don't think she's the sole crew member of the SS Gaga, but I don't think she's a puppet, either.
Lex
Did she release a new album? I haven't heard much about her lately but normally she's an attention whore who needs to make a scene every day.
Never cease to find it strange
How at midnight things seem hopeless
But by dawn they've changed
So she is in it just for the money? Is that so? She spends a great deal of her own money on her shows... doesn't seem like someone who is greedy. And calling people pop lemmings just for liking Lady Gaga is not very nice at all. She seems more interested in the happiness of her fans, then money... which I admit other pop stars don't do. Maybe Katy Perry and Justin Bieber you have a good case for... but not Lady Gaga.
And she does her own thing the way she wants... which many other artists don't do.
I don't really get it why the people are saying that her career owes to her controversial style.I'd rather say, that's the Madonna's,Britney's,Katy Perry's case for example, cause their musical ''abilities'' are always in a last plan, while Gaga is not only an artist, but also a singer.A good one.Obviously she can't keep the same pace from the beginning of her career, but neither artist can.The important thing is that she used her ''five minutes'' the best she could, and she made a decent career.I'm neither her fan,but she deservs my respect.
She is a little quiet now she is touring, but I think she will be back but I think she picked the wrong songs to release as singles from her new album, Marry the Night didn't do too well in the UK Charts, same as You and I, where as others such as Hair and possibly Bloody Mary, Americano or Highway Unicorn may of done better, in my opinion.
I'm a big fan, always have, always will
If you are a singer/song writer, music comes first and fashion second.
Music is not all about fashion like lady ga.

I'm hoping our fashionista sista will make a pronouncement on this issue
