I am a Brit, and there are plenty of men that are neither camp nor 'swishy'.
Personally I never got the American idea of 'gay/european' I clearly am in the wrong area of England.
As for Daley, he's supposedly dating some diving girl....but pretty much everyone as mentioned, that isn't a teenage girl reckon he is gay. It's just a waiting game to see if he has it in him to come out before his career ends.

well, Broad- you're in a minority- I follow famousmales- A British site- 3/4 guys there think he's gay...jeez, just expressing an opinion- and I never said all Brit men sounded gay- I actually was saying the opposite, Tom's one of the few I think does sound /act it....as for the girlfriend- PLEASE! Ricky Martin, Lance Bass, Chad Allen- hell, ME, had girlfriends at 18- doesn't mean a damn thing!

I think that Tom has a slightly short tongue that makes him sounds 'lispy' at times. He's very media savvy, and determined in what he wants. I very much get the impression that if he WAS gay, he would come out on his own terms - not on his management's terms. That said, when his mum did an interview (the text of which was not approved by his management) and said that Tom had never had a serious girlfriend, within a matter of days, his lifelong American female diving friend Kassidy Cook was being 'trotted out' as his girlfriend. Whilst the media were happy to report this, Tom has continued to deny this.

Although I couldn't give a tinker's cuss if he's gay or not (hell, it's not like he's ever going to sleep with me!) if he IS, I just wish he'd come out. We've had a great inspirational summer of sports, it's time we had some inspirational gay sports stars and entertainers (yes One Direction, take note) for our young people - not retired has-beens and Z-list celebs.

That said, Tom can be as camp as a row of pink lace tents, and I'm often left thinking that if HE isn't - then neither am I !!!

since Americans can sound 100000x campy than British man, due the American accent in my humble opinion -I've studied abroad in both countries and i never met a single boy acting like Tom Daley in the UK, and actually, there were a bunch of ambiguous acting guys in my American college and the American accent didn't helped either, but i can't generalize. -
also 'he's just European' thing, is used when there's a well dressed European man, not when he's campy.

I assume you're vaguely replying to my post. I'm not talking about accents, that's irrelevant. In fact, imo, the British accent is much more manly than any American accent (I've slept with Londoners, they're hot!). Gay Americans (myself included) are much more obvious by speech imo. What I meant, and this doesn't include Britons for the most part, is that European guys are much more concerned about their appearances/use product/dress well/whatever else...than American guys. Only guys like me are as fashionable as Europeans lol. That's a compliment, I promise! For most American guys, "country bumfucks" as I say, they dress in jeans and a tee and think they're fashionable. Then they make fun of well-dressers to each other. That's why we don't wear speedos in America. It's really obnoxious, actually, lol.
