A couple of questions....

Why is the 'post comment' box (which I am now dubbing 'Star of David') described as 'Add to this user's reputation'?

That's enormously misleading to anyone wondering what it does.

Also, are all replies to threads now going to be referred to 'Quick Replies'? I never used to use this function - I prefer the 'official' full pop-out reply box.

Hope the missing smileys are back soon! (they can all be found at EmptyClosets I assume)

Just hit the "go advanced" button at any time and you will get the full editor.

Will the sticky threads eventually be sectioned off in their own panel like before? I doubt most people look at them on a day-to-day basis and it's confusing, at least for a bear of very little brain like me, to have them sitting at the top of the normal threads.

There are two things which I'm finding HUGELY ANNOYING.

You've cut the time for editing posts down from 20 minutes to just 5 minutes. I HATE THAT. I will often find additional things to say, additional pics, better phrasing of words, or a change of attitude and I WANT to correct my post. Why can't you let me do this? PLEASE return that time to 20 minutes.

The other thing is that you've gone out of your way to make posting pictures about twice as difficult as before. Strike that, I've just found the old image tag in the advanced section. May I suggest that you put that tag in the 'quick reply' box as well? That saves people from having to use your new option and CONTINUALLY having to uncheck that 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally' button. Most JUBbers will just want to reference an image, not have every single one they use automatically put into their attachments folder. May I suggest the default for that option should be UNCHECKED with the option to check, instead of vice versa?

Each time I change page (on the male celebrity fakes forum) I get the "a script on this page is causing IE to run slowly etc" box, and everything is very slow.
BTW, the "view first unread" feature was very useful; can we have it back please?

It may due to my limitations at reading English well enough, but the Chicken's post doesn't appear to me as particularly virulent or impolite. I share his wish that the edit time remains at 20 minutes, I find the feature really practical.

Maybe you're a little tired and you should enjoy a well deserve rest for the week end, because your last post could be interpreted in a bad way, while I'm sure it wasn't your goal. Maybe a little sarcastic tone that went a little too far ?

"Customers" want always the best for them and often all the hard work passed unrecognized and some very minor bug or change are what is viewed first, and that may be irritating for those that make all the efforts But it's the way the world is Don't take our remarks too personally please

In old forum, redtube link appeared just putting the link.

Yeah just use the IMG code for that. See how I paste your siggy into my thing. Don't use the picture between the movie strip or else it will put it as a thumbnail. It's sort of hidden, it's near the YouTube icon, that will produce the IMG tags for you so just make sure that you copy the image link.

By the way, when I do this, I don't get a "source" prompt, i.e. from "my computer" via the "brouse" button. Are our old galleries hidden somewhere in the weeds?

Did we lose attachments in the upgrade? Just looked, and 4 attachments I made to posts from back in 2009 (just after I re-joined) are there, but everything newer than that is gone.

Galleries, I'm guessing, aren't enabled?

There IS a button marked "Top" at the bottom right of the screen, but when you click on "Top", nothing happens. From what I heard, that's not too uncommon with tops...

What version of IE are you using? Also I still see the "view first unread" at the top of the thread. Or did you mean the old little arrow in the "new posts search"? those are still there, too.

I just could have had the best sex of my life and I still would take offense at posts like that, especially when people "argue" that we are trying to make things difficult for them, while we're spending time making things *possible* for them . Apart from that .. "customers" would assume somebody paying me something. Must have missed that.

I noticed this, too - and didn't get where it came from because I thought it was a new post. When it is an old post that shows up like that, NOW - this is because of the OLD plugin that we can't use anymore. I'm not sure if there is a way to convert this. I saw an option to parse all posts with the new plugin .. but you can all imagine why this is a very bad idea

Can we get rid of the black image frames at all? (not in the galleries - on the boards. It's annoying to post something with a transparent background only to find that there's a black frame around it.)

Oh, so the albums are "enabled", but the pictures from before didn't survive the transition? Or they simply haven't been moved over yet? Fine either way - just didn't know. I thought you meant "we've moved all the old pictures and albums over now".

i was mistaken with the pics i saw the manager with all the attachments and there were some of my old gallery pics in them. thought those are the old pics that are just without galleries for now. but they weren't. however the old pics are still available. they might return later. just like the blog posts (they are there already, but a few things are still broken).

I certainly didn't mean to slam the mods' efforts, or to insult them. I just fired off a very reactionary post because I was extremely annoyed, frustrated, and upset - no doubt because I'm a HUGE perfectionist (and let's face it I think my OCD is at play here as well)

I just feel that a lot of my posts will be ruined because of it. It's EXTREMELY frustrating for me to see something in my post that I can improve and make better, yet not being allowed to because of an unexplainable shortening in the editing time.

If the mods can change it back I'd be very grateful.

By unchecking the box marked ''Retrieve remote file and reference locally'. Alternatively (and easier) use the old image button which as Corny and unloadonme say IS actually already in the quick reply box (I made an error) as the very last icon on the right.

Rather than be frustrated, you can report your post and ask the mods to make a correction.

(The edit time will be reviewed after other problems are corrected.)
