Prozac and cumming
I have been on prozac for about 7/ 8 months and sometimes have problems cumming from whacking off. Some of the time I just cannot cum and give up, other times I can cum but it takes a while.
Ive stopped taking my prozac (3 days) but wondering how long it takes before I can start cumming again. Even though I havent taken it for 3 days, I still cant shoot a load.
Anyone been through this? Please tell me I can shoot again

Re: Prozac and cumming
It can take up to two weeks, give or take, to leave your system.
Please speak with your doctor before adjusting your medication. There may be an other option for you to try. There may also be something else going on. It may be in your head, it may be not. Your doctor is best-equipped to guide you.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.
Give a man religion, and he'll starve praying for a fish.

Re: Prozac and cumming
I never told my doctor about the not cummin, but mostly about the insominia. She is a new doctor - on the other side of the world, but has given me prozac and something else.
I want to come off everything, as I'd rather not take anything.

Re: Prozac and cumming
I took Prozac for 3 months one time and I had the same problem. It took me forever to cum. I finally could cum, but it took a lot of work and a long time. Fortunately that all went away after I finished the Prozac. My Mom took Celexa once but her doctor discontinued it. We had quite a few left and out of curiosity I tried one pill. Just one Celexa pill made me unable to cum. But again fortunately that went away after one day and I was back to normal. I believe these are documented side effects of some of these medications and not just "in your head."
Currently I take 3 medications for my blood pressure, and it has affected me similarly though not as much. I first noticed it over a year ago. My doctor named which one of the three is causing this, but my friend who is a nurse insists it's another one, not the same one my doctor says is causing it. So yes, a lot of medications can have these effects. In some cases, for some people, if you continue to take the medication eventually your body adapts to it and the side effect goes away after a while. But not for everyone and not for all medications.

Almost all anti-depressants list the side effect of impaired libido.

Re: Prozac and cumming
Your doctor should have warned you about the dangers of stopping an SSRI too abruptly- because of SSRI cessation syndrome.
The problems that you describe - delayed ejaculation or anorgasmia - is one of the most common side effects of SSRIs- some studies say that up to 50% of men on these drugs experience some sort of side effect. Usually, in these cases a switch to a different anti-depressant can resolve the issue.
