Dreaming, whether the day time, or night time versions perform the role of inspiration filled with metaphoric imagery encouraging us to implement the recommendations appearing in our dream states.

Dream analysis, and interpretation enlightening our path through life is the role of The Spirit of God in whom our source of inspiration is centred; the genius of God guiding us into a more rewarding, and fulfilling life serving the common good.

Ongoing, and unresolved inner conflict can often produce nightmares, jolting us to resolve those issues that need our urgent, and undivided attention.

Charles Dickens character, Ebenezer Scrooge amply demonstrates the night turmoil that resulted in this self centred person eventually facing up to his self indulgent life, and haunting demons leading to a change in direction in the manner in which he lived his life.

Biblical figures such as the Prophet Daniel record another element of dream interpretation, when the dreams of other people are interpreted when Daniel appeals to Divine Wisdom for assistance leading to the wise prophet's promotion as King Nebuchadnezzar advisor, and administrator for Babylon. We also note similar parallels in the life of Joseph in the court of the Egyptian Pharaoh.

In simple language dreams are an inspiration, or motivation that emerges into our conscious awareness to enable us to plot a more rewarding course through our life that will benefit not just our self, but also the common good of those with whom we share our life.

Dreams can be such a metaphysical and spiritual experience, yet it still seems to me that it's a bit of a taboo subject if one takes it too far. For me personally, I'm really into dreams and have had quite a number of exciting and profound ones. I'm a software developer and even wrote a piece of software to keep track of them all. I've recorded over 500 of them over the past several years, and it's always great to be able to go back to read and try to interpret them after I've lived a few years since they first occurred.

I don't really know what dreams mean, or why we have them. I do look forward to certain ones, sometimes the dreams are better than reality.
