Ah, The Biebs. Wasn't it Twitter that famously needed to add another dedicated server exclusively to handle traffic/followers/re-tweets related to him? While this JUB thread has its fair share of debate (healthy or otherwise) it hasn't made JUB explode - yet.

All I can say is that the older the Biebs gets, the better he looks!!

I'll second that sentiment! He looks great now IMHO, I've got no complaints there, but can't wait to see how his look (and associated style) will evolve as he gets into his 20s and he settles into his features more. Also, I'm not really gettin' the douchey/asshole personality some here have labelled him with; to me in interviews (of varying levels of candidness) he comes across as genuine, sweet and kind of sensitive/shy - and still amazed/overwhelmed - that he's living out his musical dream and ambitions on the world stage. Albeit, with the "swagger coach" and stylists looking to give him "street cred" that I think clashes with his roots and self, but that's marketing looking to put him in a package for what's current today.

Honestly, this first made me think of Drake, who has a "bra trunk" that he's quite fond of apparently, although he's no teen and certainly not clean-cut. On the +1 side for this being a Biebs blind item, I'm sure him and Selena are about the same waist size. And +1 again, remember the pink undies paparazzi shots?

But as masgrandeburrito says, yeah, a number of those "blind items" are known to be completely invented bullshit, with some halfway true or embellished considerably, and the ones often considered accurate tend to come from established Hollywood columnists or sources who put their name/reputation on the line over them.

And you know, while I don't have a girls' underwear fetish (really! I don't, I swear, I swear! ), in the remote chance that the blind item is about him, good for him exploring something that makes him feel sexy or kinky or whatever and being open-minded. The bigger point in my mind is I do like that Justin embodies stereotypically male and female traits and isn't afraid to play to aspects of either of them. Heck, he was cover for "The Androgyny Issue" of "The Face". I can understand why some people here and elsewhere like to bash him for not being "masculine" enough (the "What a cute lesbian" refrain is a common one), but my thought is that either comes down to personal taste or, I think, strict ideas or insecurities about very defined gender roles.

I think most blind items are just a way for some people to stir up trouble or start rumors. I don't put any faith in them.

I used to roll my eyes when someone mentioned him too. I still don't get into his music... but the more I learn about him, the more I grudgingly admit he's not so bad. He actually does a lot of charity work. While I haven't scoured the internet for clips, I think I've seen most of his appearances on Ellen (and a select few others)... and he always seems humble.

I think it's easy to call someone arrogant or an asshole when you don't actually know them or walked in their shoes. I like to keep in mind that the baby just turned 18... he hit all this mega-fame when he was still a kid and most of it was out of the blue and unexpected. He has an exceptional number of haters, more than most pop stars his age.... and they can be downright vicious. That can't be an easy thing to deal with. I feel bad for him and other child stars who are suddenly thrust into the spotlight. Yea, it may be what they want ultimately, but the down side of it all takes some getting used to... and trust me there are plenty of down sides.

I'm totally aboard ThatBoyIsAMonster's and fab245's sentiments about your fake, since terrible/ridiculous looking fakes out there can outnumber the good ones 10 to 1 (and are not hot at all), so it's a treat to find a fake that is so well-done that it's...zero to fully hard in 5.0 seconds. So, excellent job! But then our admiration of you is dropped down some notches by the hatin' from you in this thread.

Seriously, though, I get you and I know you were a bit tongue-in-cheek - his music might not be my first choice to listen to out of all available genres or bands, but in the genre and style that it is, it is well-produced and well-executed, and if he wants mass mainstream success, it's not like he can be performing some fringe genre. I look at it as more as a component of the total performance package (video, dancing). And besides, a breezy, cotton-candy pop song is not without its charms at achieving exactly what it sets out to do. There's room for that kind of thing amongst Mahler, The Beatles, Miles Davis, Adele, Madonna or anybody else I might listen to in a day. Is "Somebody To Love" or "Baby" really not this era's version of "Sugar, Sugar" or any of a number of decades-old songs which are now considered pop classics but were just as trite and written/recorded assembly-line in their day?
