Hopefully that was intentional. Tattoo artists have been known to screw up Chinese symbols. If this was a mistake, Justin should definitely sue the tattoo artist for negligence and recover for pain, humiliation and mental suffering. Could be some big damages here when you consider that Justin really does not have the option to keep his shirt on.

I was guessing it was just someone in Bieber's entourage that didn't really understand Roman Numerals and they asked for the wrong thing. Its the same with Chinese symbol tattoos. Most often its the customer that doesn't really know what they're asking for because it also happens with Chinese tattoo artists, and yes that means even in China. Over there it happens mostly to tourists.

I would have thought that there would be less issues with Roman numerals since presumably, more North Americans would be familiar with them. I think I learned Roman Numerals in elementary school. Maybe there is a significance to 1 9 7 5 independent of his mom's year of birth.
