I didn't really see any point to those two getting killed at the end. I blinked and there they were. I blinked again and they were gone. I would like to get some story on other survivors. I am getting bored with the farm. It needs to move a long now that Sophia is dead.

    Re: The Walking Dead

Two new characters introduced was great to see and while I was not sorry to see the obnoxious heavy guy get killed but I was disappointed that the Michael Raymond James character died so soon. Rick reminded me of Timothy Olyphant in Justified when he quick on the trigger shot him in that scene Michael Raymond is terrific actor and not all that shabby in the looks department either so it would have been great to see him stay on the show. oh well.
Then there is Lori, the story never went back to her after she crashed her car after hitting that walker.

I thought it was extremely stupid of Lori to go off and try to find Rick, glen, and hershel.this episode had a few good moments and bad moments.
I understand that this is a tv series and needs to stretch out the story.
but i will be so happy when the group finally leaves the Farm.

from what i understand the show is based on a series of graphic novels,(comic books). they do need to leave that damn farm already. Rick always turns me on with hid gravelly voice. does anybody watch the Talking Dead show?

if you caught the previews for the next episode, the two guy's friends show up looking for them next week.

I agree on the farm... form what I've read, it's a management issue -- the people with the checkbooks want the show to save money by reusing the same sets as much as possible. it's cheaper to film 2 scenes at the farm than 2 scenes in two different locations.

from what i read, AMC took alot of the shows budjet to pay for Mad Men, since everyone on that show wanted more money.

As much as I like the walking dead Mad men deserves the money. That's a really good show. The walking dead's first 5 episodes of season 1 were fantastic. Really on the edge of your seat. Now it's getting boring and just cruel at times. I swear in the graphic novels Carl kills Shane early on by shooting him. He is confused over the living and the dead. And doesn't Rick lose his hand or something in the comics? I read some of them long ago. And Laurie is still annoying as fuck. I hope that car crash did her in. She adds nothing to the show.

    Anyone see Walking Dead?

It was a good episode. The only thing I didn't like is they left the car accident scene for next week I guess. The ending in the bar was really good and unexpected.

I love this show as well, the good and bad, i make a point to watch it and support it. I read the first comic...but now i want to stay away from them bc i dont want to compare the show and the comics.

This show is a HUGE success!

    Re: The Walking Dead

If you ever watch "The Talking Dead" then you will find out a little more of what the director, producer and fans are wanting for this show on a fan base.

They already said it will not have 70% of the comic book story line. More zombies will be populated into the series. More human characters will come and go (die). The farm is just ground setting to bring forth the season two finale and forthcoming third season.

They are listening to fans because they want the show to continue with it success. It is the #1 most watched cable show on Sundays now that the football season is over.

Just sit back and enjoy it to see what happens because if you keep thinking the comic book storyline, you will be disappointed. Plus, if I read the comic books, it is not a golden rule for the TV version to be the same. It leaves the story to no new horizons and predictable.

Sit back, tune in on AMC and enjoy !!!

    Re: Anyone see Walking Dead?

Ya i saw it. Still moving kinda slow this season. Whats his face so should have not shaven his head. However, it really does make him look more like the villain of the show--in which he is. And makes a damn good one. I have no idea on where the series is going now. This farm situation was cool for a second but focusing it around this entire season kind of sucks. I want to see them back in the streets, malls and in strain-full scary situations. Bring in more people so we can have a larger kill count.....Ah yes. And anyone notice the young guy who was bed side with the old mans wife ? WHo is that ive never seen him the entire season. Well im watching.

Oh, she's turning alright. "Shock" doesn't comprise a raging fever. If you looked closely when her Mom grabbed her, you saw that the walker Mom dragged her fingers across the girl's neck!

A great episode but TOTALLY unbelieveable that Lori would look for Rick, needing a gun and a map. She told him not to go and now she's off to look for him to tell him to hurry?! Jeez!

I actually think the cast needed to stay on the farm as long as they did so that the impact of finding Sophia would be as great as it was. I'm on pins and needles watching the show; I'm not sure if I can handle them leaving the farm!

Things do not look good for Lori at this point...maybe she'll somehow survive the crash, but gets bit by a zombie and spends the rest of her pregnancy tied to a bed ala "The Dawn the Dead?"
Yeah, I think she's on her way out and I'm kinda excited to see her go. I also think Hershel's gonna die too, and Maggie will leave the farm with Glen and the rest of the group.

All you haters are trying to take control to stop people from watching like you are Shane. The rest of you, bitch and gripe and are as up and down as Daryll !!!

Let it be as the producers, writers and directors surprise you or you just might end up like Sean did, lol.

Get a clue, you don't turn if you touch a zombie. You turn if you are biten, scratched or possibly get their blood in an open wound.

I will watch the VOD to see if her zombie mom scratched her but I hope it is just shock than zombiatic, lol.

This episode was SO good! Reminded me of why I stick w/ the show even when it gets crappy sometimes.

I love the night time setting for the bar shoot out, it always makes the scenes spookier.

A lot of screen time with Rick and Glenn = awesome.

Lori, who usually bores/annoys me was so badass in this episode. Can't believe she's coaxing Rick to kill Shane. Get it, girl.

I used to love Shane until they decided to turn him into a one dimensional villain. Now, I can't wait for Rick to kill him off.

As for the kid with the fucked up leg, I wonder wtf they'll do with him. 0_o

Lol, right? One of my friends who's never seen the show said: "Oooh, I bet she's the evil one, huh?" the way she was manipulating him whispering to him, that scene was great!

I'm enjoying this season and I am a bit sick of the farm but there is an another issue outside of money, they need exterior sets that look deserted, quite with no real life anymore so a farm somewhere works rather than a city at the crack of dawn where you have to film quick before it comes alive with people.

Yes, omg. It was so perfect. I love that they have her doing more than whining/concern trolling.

And the look on Rick's face afterward...Dis gun be gud.

Yeah, I was surprised that they were willing to risk their lives for some random guy who was trying to kill them. I was LMAO @ Glenn and Rick threatening the guy to get him to STFU. Let's see, zombies are coming at him and his leg is impaled on a fence. I'm sure he can totally keep quite while you tear away at his leg.

Anyway, maybe he'll be a new addition to the cast. I can't see why else they'd have him around or how he'd serve as a plot device. *shrug*

Speaking of new additions, can we get rid of the useless characters like T-Dog and Carol and replace them with interesting ones? Damn.

You'd leave someone for the walkers to eat up if they weren't good looking?

Would you want to be left behind because you weren't good looking or because they didn't know you? The living need to take care of each other... that is what this show is about.

XD Those two sentences just so happened to be in the same paragraph. But no, I was speaking in the aspect of the show. He isn't good looking. But the reason I would leave him isn't because he isn't good looking; I would leave him simply because I don't know anything about him. I mean who's to say he won't kill me? If it was someone I knew, good-looking or not, I would more than likely save them if I could.

Shirtless Rick was a boner kill.

The show is getting a bit too intense for me. It's one thing to kill a walking corpse; it's another to kill live people.

Looks like there is going to be a fight with Rick and Shane when they drop off Randall.

I'm beginning to think TWD isn't going to have a hopeful ending.

Someone explain something to me that I could never understand about most zombie outbreak stories. How can the zombie population be so big when these zombies do more devouring than just biting? I don't see how it can be so epidemic when getting attacked by zombies will likely mean you well get devoured with nothing left of you to continue walking. These zombies don't simply take a bite and just walk away.

For example, are we to believe that Sophia was only bitten, and she was able to escape attacking zombies before she changed over? And if so, are we to believe the rest of the huge zombie population was as "lucky"?

Zombies don't seem so smart when it comes to preserving their own race. They leave nothing to preserve. And yet, their population always seems to grow in outbreak proportions. It's a zombie paradox.

I agree. I have thought of that also. But it's more dramatic for Sophia to come walking out of that barn dead than them never finding her. It ties up the story. Which I am sure you know. A "real" zombie attack would leave little left. Though with so many people in the world even if 50% got eaten there is still a large number left of the undead to walk around.
