how much easier would it have been if Michonne just said six words to Andrea "Govnah sent ppl to kill me"

^ Sloppy writing. ~
what does Carl say in the preview? after Rick says "stop what?"
I PRAY! they don't kill Daryl. That would be a fucking travesty!
The lesbian exchange was badass.
I think that's the first time I ever liked Carol on the show.
I honestly don't get why so many people think Daryl will be killed off. I keep seeing this everywhere.
Anyway the preview at the end of the episode shows Daryl doing just fine. No worries, unless they decide to kill him off at some point in the premiere of the second half. If so, oops.
Merle is expendable tho. That dude needs to go. Again.
I keep hearing that Daryl is not in the comics, that might be one reason why so many people think he might be killed off. As a character, he has pretty much run his course. He has been reunited with his brother. He'll have to pick a side, and after that... who cares? I like that they kill off characters to make room for new ones. Or maybe I'm still just bitter over the loss of my Shane!
Thanks God the spoiler werent true after all
Glenn is still alive
and Im here for Beth kissing Rick....![]()

You do have a point there, when you put it like that...
I am not attached to Daryl but I do like his silent badassery and brooding in the background. He is always an emotional constant and it anchors everyone around him in a way, especially since the group has an emotionally unstable leader in Rick. When shit hits the fan, Daryl is good to have for protection and he gets shit done. But now that Michonne and Tyreese are in the picture, I can see Daryl no longer being necessary on the show to serve this function since both of these new characters fall into the same role. And like you said, he has found closure finally by reuniting with his brother so there would be no loose ends if he were to make an exit.
It was not surprising since he get's killed off right away in the comics.
But I like to think that the show would've kept Shane on if the actor hadn't gone on to other projects. He was like the most interesting, polarizing character and most discussions after each episode would be about him. There will never be another like him...
Never forget. ~
I was beginning to think about that as well. But in this past episode, it was quite the contrary as Rick brought Daryl back down. You saw how Daryl reacted to the thought of his brother.
As far as Tyrese goes, I'm not sure how he is in the comics, but he didn't strike me as "leader" material. Especially since he let that one woman who got bit come with them. But at the same time, they didn't chop her hand off ala-Herschel to save her. So I don't know about him yet.
I think that was fairly understandable since he thought his brother had been dead all along but he also quickly came back to his senses and he didn't overreact and turn into a mess like Rick often does in extreme circumstances. He usually tries to be reserved overall.
Rick is a good leader if he can get others to balance him out.
Tyreese in the comics is very strong-minded and opinionated, Rick and him sort of butt heads at times over various issues. Tyreese often sees Rick's flaws as a leader and calls him out on it. They sort of have a turbulent friendship. He's a good, caring guy though who tries to keep everyone safe.
But I'm not sure how they'll handle the character on the show. A lot of his character arc in the comic has to do with his teenage daughter and her boyfriend who he disapproves of-- it's tragic. It seems like they decided to not include that on the show.

Wow! That's amazing! Walking Dead rules television!
The promo for the second half looks amazing!
Am i the only one who doesn't see Beth dying this season? I think she's going to become the comic book Sophia.
Michonne kicked the Governor's ass haha! She did damn good to say she was wounded. I couldn't believe Andrea held the gun up at her after she survived out in the world 8 months with her and she knew the govenor for only a few days! I just wonder what's gonna happen to Daryl now. I hope his brother finally gets killed. That's one evil son of a bitch. I wonder when Andrea is gonna wake up and see who the govenor really is.
This sums up her situation:
Dickmatized 162 up, 26 down
When a girl can not concentrate on anything else because she is distracted with the DICK of her latest piece of ass. Her work is jeopardized, she's a sell out to her girlfriends, she picks up his shit including his kids or whatever. She will do whatever it takes for the DICK. Even if the dick isn't all that great, she doesn't know the difference because she is dickmatized.
Man. I haven't seen Christina in forever; she is totally dickmatized by that loser!

Andrea's such a moron at this point. I'm sure she'll have her "wake up and choose the right side" moment when the season resumes, but pretty much ever since she went into permanent PMS mode at Dale for taking her gun away I've felt she's acted like a whiny rebellious teenager.
Am I like the only one that is going to be ticked of they kill off Daryl. Personally he is my favorite character. One of the reasons I continue to watch the show. He has been a crutial person in the group and personally I think they should end up finding a way for him to replace Rick as the leader.
I feel like Shane simply had it coming though (good riddens to him, imo). Daryl is a character that you can enjoy watching and not get pissed off at stupid-ass antics like Andrea or even Rick at times; not to mention, he's sort of become like a big brother figure to Carl, so for him to die before S3 is over would be a big loss (I'm thinking they won't be stupid to kill Daryl off anytime soon though, seein gas how Kirkman has thought of ways of introducing him into the comic series). I hope Rick snaps out of his temper-tantrum issues soon and can be seen as a leader'ish type again (but judging from the preview that might not happen). If Andrea were to pick Guvnah's side and get left behind with that group, then good riddens to her too... I'm sick of her always acting like a hormonal high-schooler chick that needs to get laid by any guy she finds cute that says hi to her.
C'mon February 10th! Can't wait!!
Just saw this on MSN home page

Yeah Shane if anything was given a falsely larger role in the TV show than he actually had in the graphic novel. His death was already guaranteed when they started writing the show. So I don't think his death = "well they might kill off anyone then." That makes it sound like he was unlikely to die. I wasn't surprised he died, I was surprised how long they kept him and how elaborate they made the lead-up to it.
Likewise, several dead characters in the graphic novel at this point in events are still alive, and vice-versa. Some are definitely on borrowed time as it is.

Andrea needs to pull a Lori and die.
I stopped watching last episode when it was half finished.
I'm really loosing interest in this show, not sure if I will watch the next one.
The 'final' episode was great - the cliffhanger was decent but I'm pretty sure Daryl will survive - as will Merle. I ship Carol/Daryl so I want him to see through this Woodbury mess. I wonder if the Governor doesn't end up killing Daryl/Merle because Andrea says something.. he can't afford to lose her after all she's been exposed to about Woodbury and now that he's basically thrown Merle to the zombies.
The Michonne/Governor fight was one of the most epic sequences I've ever seen on TV. Epic! Michonne has been awesome to watch; I just hope we get some detail regarding the character because we know nothing about her. Like.. at least give her some dialogue for fucks sake! I guess now the Governor will wear than infamous eye-patch.
Hurry up Feb! I need this show back in my life it's just so goooood!
The Michonne/Governor fight was sooooo good! They both just gave it! They were totally thte stars of the episode, for me.
I haven't been that excited to see two television characters pull off the gloves since Buffy and Faith. The build up to the fight was relatively short, but intense. And it did not dissappoint! That girl took some blows! And how she ended it... frig! AMC, you rock!
I loved the fight also!! I was glad it was blow for blow, I didn't want him to just beat her down, she had to show her tough side and how she survived on her own w/o help. And what is with all the hesitation, just fuck him up. (just like when Maggie had the gun on Merle and yelling for him to stop instead of just swiss cheesing his ass). I aso wish Michonne would have said something to Andrea, something like "bitch do you not see what the fuck is going on, do you not see these fucking jars or this "kids", you that hard for dick? and then walk out by her and shove her ass to the floor. I know Darryl will at least make it thru the first episode back, they showed him in the preview and I'm guess Merle is with him since they played Glenn say "what is he doing here" and that is the only person I can picture him saying that to. Andrea just wanna feel safe and get dicked down and she is satisfied. She will learn the hard way. Seems Rick is slowly taking on some of "wolverine Shane's" traits. He is quick to pull a gun and threaten people. I wonder how much before someone, maybe Carl, sets him back on the right path.
And how the hell you miss a big ass hole the back on the prison? I know they probably didn't check the entire prison but still, that is just odd. Also, I wonder how long Michonne will keep it to herself that she knows Andrea? I guess from the previews, Andrea will show and all will be layed out but I'm sure the Governor is following dumb ass to the prison. I guess after Rick raises hell about the newcomers, he will happy to have them when the Gov shows up. I guess I will do like I do when TB goes off, turn my mind off about it and get hooked on something else.
*Buying condoms at the store*
Cashier: "Would you like a bag?"
Me: "No it's ok, he's not that ugly."
^ I'm guessing they secured a certain section of the prison. I mean they only have a few people. There's really not much point in putting yourself at risk to clear out an entire prison if you already have plenty of space
for some reason i really dont like tyrese's group mainly just the blubbering white guy and his son. the whole 'we dont leave ppl behind' thing was so annoying, they been living in the apocalypse for how long, they know she will turn, i just thought it was dumb, like did they think they could save her?
(never mind)
boring Sunday Night without The Walking Dead
up until Feb 2013

Am I the only one who's tired of the Woodbury story arc? We didn't learn a whole lot new about the zombie apocalypse, which to me is more compelling than turf warfare. The Governor was bad but not insanely so; Milton, who I thought would be performing questionable experiments, turned out to be a buffoon who didn't know much of anything. These past episodes reminded me of season one's "Los Vatos" which mercifully only spanned two episodes. If you'll recall, that was when Glen was first kidnapped. I was tired of that story arc before it even began.
I'm not really chomping at the bit til February. I don't care too much about the story right now and the previews are enough to show me that probably everyone makes it back to the prison.
If the writers of the show want to keep the audience's interest, they'll put the zombies back as the main antagonists, not the humans. What was previously so fascinating to me is how the apocalypse was evolving and how the writers were slowly revealing it to the TV audience. Much of this seems lost in season 3.
I doubt the audience is losing interest, judging from the reaction most people are having to the Governor and the other human baddies.
Anyway, the zombies will always take a backseat to the human antagonists because there is no room for development when it comes to them-- their function is to create suspense as a background threat and to provide material for scary/gory scenes. Besides, in any narrative that features apocalyptic themes, you have to expect that a lot of the focus will be on the ways in which the chaos brings out the worst in humanity.
The zombies create the setting, the humans create the drama.
