I like everyones voices ^.^
I like everyones voices ^.^
I make my bed with the stars above my head and dream of a place called home.
Hope this works!http://vocaroo.com/i/s0cUGOs8IOSqYay!Success!!!
You have a great voice Sausy !
I LOATHE my voice,at least listening to it,lol! It's too nasally, grating, and high but there are times I can flatten it pretty well. There are times I go into the queen's English or continental style but am lousy when I try out more specifically regional dialects.Love the Aussie and New Zealand accents but my ears don't translate well to my mouth! When I'm really animated though, the New Jersey grittiness really comes through!
I'll try and pluck up the courage to say g'day.
... Passionately Australian
This be me .... you will need to click on the play button on the graphic. Just me talking about the kiwi accent and some observations of Jub.
Sausy, whenever I read your posts, that's pretty much the voice I hear them in. Although perhaps with a bit of "oh bother" Winnie-the-Pooh thrown in.
Sausy.....your voice reminds me of "ComicBook Guy" on the Simpsons. (I even just did a quick YouTube check, ...and yep....your voice is similar....)
Johann... i have an idea for a new thread... story time with Johann... I would like you to start from the beginning and read a chapter to me every day...
You have an excellent voice.. now was that my imagination or were there birds chirping in the background?
That was a LOT OF FUN spending the last 7 1/2 minutes with you...
I can imagine spending the afternoon with you on a bluff overlooking Christchurch talking about EVERYTHING and NOTHING!!!
What a FUN DAY that would be...
Also -- GREAT recording of Sausy and Johann!!!
Glad you enjoyed listening Swerve.
(Congrats on 10,000 posts)
Kevbo, you are fine...you not only look adorable, you sound adorable too...
Interesting shutdown trick...didn't know that could be done.Originally Posted by M10000

Thanks Mouf of Khaos,too....glad to hear it seemed to be a very pleasant surprise hearing this grating Jersey voice for the first time!
And swerve as well, and congrats btw on 10,000 posts!
Really have enjoyed all the voices that have been recorded and linked here.Very impressed in particular by some of our southern US influenced voices like Jason, swerve and Johann...I could listen to you guys read the phone book, you're all that compelling and interesting!
Loved Oz and jag's respective Aussie and Kiwi accents...could comment on so many but believe it or not,I do tend towards wordiness!Keep it going,everyone.....thanks refuji for strating this new edition of an always fascinating and fun way to share some more of who we really are outside the avatars and usernames!
I listened to a few previous and should have adjusted the gain on my microphone... here is the newer version with no warbley over-driven bass....
No,no,no...still so many people we haven't heard from, and others whose commentary has been nothing short of delightful!Let's keep this as recurring as the posting picture thread...it's fun to engage vocally!
This is the first forum I've been on where someone started a thread like this with audio...
...I can say it was cool reading & listening to what was posted here.
This voice thread really does need a bump so we can hear more JUBbers voices (****he typed ironically....***)
good. god. my recorded voice sounds so different from my actual voice. I think. ask the JUBbers I've met...
LMAO. The Old Republic: the Star Wars MMO.
That last part was an after thought obviously.
Must have been Star Wars: Galaxies: Sony's iteration of the MMO. I'll let this discussion die because it is not related to the relevant topic.
Hey, I play the Old Republic! What server are you on?
"Huntyyyy you are such a sweet guy I remember seeing a video of you, uhhm, d-uhh when the It's [sic] Gets Better project thing was on and you did a video and you talked about, sort of, your school days and it was, uhh, a really great video and, and you are really really cuuuute! (giggles) "Zephyr in the sky at ni...." No I can't do it. Sawwryy."
Actually, if you want incomprehensible, I suggest the Doric accent of northeast Scotland. It's much closer to old Scots and not all words would be immediately recognisable as English to most people outside of the British Isles. That, combined the very strong accent they have there, renders it very difficult to understand (but I again have no trouble with it)
I don't know if this is just for me, but the only accent I find difficult to understand are those used in gangsta rap and hip-hop, i.e. urban 'street' accents. I think it's more about the phrases and sentences they use rather than the actual accent itself though.
How much of what this young man is saying can you understand?
Also compare the massive difference in my voice to his. Yet we're both Scottish.
I understood about 99% of what he said.
AWP, I'd love to see a video where you talked about your life and your experiences.
Say for example your childhood, your family, growing up, school, being gay, etc. etc.
I think you're a really mild-mannered and easy-going and interesting kind of guy.
P.S. To JohannBessler - are you 100% American born and bred? It was your name that led me to believe you were Swiss or Austrian, lol.
