I am a huge fan of horror movies. I wish there were more gay characters in horror. Here are some titles that I can think of that have gay characters. Feel free to add to the list.

Though On a side note, you ever seen those awful gay horror movies? I mean awful! Cheap and low budget? Awful acting, story and setting?

I am sure there are some that I have seen that are awful and low budget. Honestly the titles I mentioned are the only ones I can think of right now. 2001 Maniacs was kinda cheesy, but I liked it. haha

Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorites too. I also loved Red Dragon, never really got into Hannibal or the original Manhunter.

Red dragon was indeed another good one. Hannibal Rising left a lot to be desired.

David DeCoteau makes great horror movies targeted at a gay audience, though I haven't seen any yet where the characters are gay.

Let me refine what I mean when I say his movies are great... the acting sucks, the FX suck, the storylines are often reminiscent of "Goosebumps" or "Are You Afraid of The Dark"... but lots of boys in underwear and homoerotic situations.

It was a cheaply made (probably Canadian) movie about people living in a webcast house and one of the roommates turns out to be a killer. There's a weird scene where the killer leads on the gay character in the film... Any help?

Do you not think there's something homoerotic about vampires in general? In particular, think of the relationship between Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise) and Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) in Interview with the Vampire and between Lestat (Stuart Townsend this time) and Marius de Romanus (Vincent Pérez) in Queen of the Damned.

I can't stand DeCoteau's movies. I watched one that spent literally 9 minutes on a (yes hot) guy rubbing his body whilst laying on his bed in just some briefs. Now, i get that he is trying to be homoerotic, but for god sake, be real. There aint a guy on the planet that has been in that position and NOT had their hands down their pants within the first couple minutes.

Hot guys on screen do nothing for me unless they are a) naked, or b) acting in a decent movie. DeCoteau fails to deliver naked hot guys, OR decent movies.

Earlier in the movie, they said to survive, you "pretty much have to be gay"

But the director confirmed he only said that as a last ditch attempt to save his skin.

Are you talking about the original (1985) Fright Night? The actor who played Evil Ed was gay, and did porn later (probably on the strength of the terrific butt shot after the character dies), but none of the characters were as far as I recall.

If you mean the 2011 remake, I don't know about that. Who's gay in that?

But I did like the Brotherhood movies. I don't need to see a guy totally naked to get turned on. Sometimes it's sexier to leave a little to the imagination. That might change when I'm older, lol, but for now it works.

The doomy gloomy short flick "Bugcrush" is a gay horror flick, its on You Tube. You will either love it or hate it, but the ending is rough.
And never forget the classic "OTTO" or "Up with Dead People" (2008) there is a rated R and a NR version which has a gay orgy scene. Its a zombie flick in which all the zombies are gay but Otto is very hot and lonely.

I've often wondered if there's an unrated version of Bugcrush that shows more detail in that final scene. I expect not.
